I bought a package of screws to hold these together as suggested by one reviewer. I just assembled them and slid them onto small cucumbers. A few days later they were ready to be harvested and I was so pleasantly surprised. When cut they look just like little hearts or stars. So excited to put these in a salad. The molds are very durable. I think they will last quite a few years.

I have my doubts that this will work because it did not contain any screws to attach the two sides and they do not snap together. Cheaply made.

This review is for ASkinds 4Pcs Cucumber Styling Growth Mold Plastic Heart Shaped Five-pointed Star Transparent Garden Fruit Vegetable Growing Molds (Star+Heart). This product includes two star and two heart molds, in two halves each. The plastic is sturdy. There were no instructions included. There are holes on the edges of the mold that line up perfectly with the opposite side. It is easy to just use twist ties to hold the two halves together or could "sew" the edges together securely with wire (eg, twist tie roll) or twine. Binder clips might also work along the edge. When installed on a growing cucumber or zucchini, the mold should work well to make star or heart shaped cross-section veggie slices, an interesting and fun inclusion for a charcuterie tray. Cucumbers are not yet forming in the garden so it cannot be fully tested yet but is expected to work well. Product is made in China. The plastic appears to be acrylic; no information was found if the product plastic is food safe.

You must use Nuts and Bolts to get good results. I tried cable ties but the growing cucumber just popped them like crazy. Very cool results and a lot of fun.

My vegetables busted right through it. Tried to use extra strong ties, but the plastic cracked.

Did not work for me, my cucumbers kept busting out!

Fun and work great

Holes are different sizes. Followed another users review and got screws, They didn’t fit in all holes. Was able to use the hearts but they broke under pressure. It’s a great idea just couldn’t ever get it to work like the images.

I was expecting a thin, semi-flexible form, but these are solid! They have a peg and hole to keep it in place temporarily, then you can use holes along the edges to tie them securely. I can't wait to see how the cucumbers turn out!
