Fernco Is The Way To Go
Lets face it plumbing always seems to be still back in the 30's. When ever you need to connect various types of pipe or different sizes either reducing up or down, Fernco is the way to go. Has saved me many times when running drain lines.

Cheaper than the big box stores which usually don't have these in stock. Worked well for my plumbing project!

Good coupler to fix a leak on a main water line.
My main lines pressure is 70 psi. The old PB line had two small cracks. I fixed both by cutting through the rubber piece, wrapped it around the pipe and used an extra clamp in the middle of the rubber. Put JD Wield beneath it for filling the crack. Worked just fine.
