Very easy to install works great and happy with it so far no issues and great value for money. Only thing is did not come with instructions to install and how to install but because I installed one previous before on a different laptop I knew how to do it but you can easily find a you tube video on how to do it.

Initial review Aug2022 - I was ready to retire my old 2015 macbook but took the plunge and decided to revive it. It was the best choice! After installing this and a new SSD it's working great and ready for a few more rounds. I take good care of my tech but I've never had a laptop last this long and still so fit for work. The old battery was swollen and in need of urgent replacement and this one fit perfectly. Taking the old battery out was hard work (YouTube can help with that) but installing this one was a breeze. The instructions were very clear and straightforward. It works perfectly and lasts much longer than the old one. Couldn't be happier! Update Apr2023 - battery worked well but lost most capacity after 6 months.

I am happy with this battery and it has given my MacBook a new lease of life. My only complaint would be that there are no instructions provided so installing the battery was a bit trial and error for me.

Arrived super fast and easy to instal etc .....my laptop is now working as it should!

UPDATED FROM EARLIER REVIEW: After 3 years use I can now only get 1% charge into the battery which has been dropping in performance rapidly. Just 3 years battery life is not acceptable especially when the old (original) one did lose power but also allowed my to use the machine for short periods. Orginal review: I don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to do so on this occasion! First off I was a bit annoyed when the package arrived with a ripped tag as if it had already been opened. There was no seal to be seen, so was concerned this might have been a return. Whatever, given the plastic covers seemed intact, I decided to go ahead with fitting as I needed the new battery pack for next week's trip to Canada. The kit came with a paltry generic leaflet on battery management in umpteen languages, but nothing on what you really need - how to replace the old one. So, head scratching.... You have to search carefully on YouTube to find someone who knows what they are doing - and plenty don't. The only tools provided were two (essential) torx drivers for the external case and internal battery/speaker fixing. There are a lot of things that could very easily go wrong, converting your once fabulous Mac into a pile of aluminium and plastic junk. For example, a minor slip of a tool or mishandling will result in disaster...so you really do need to be confident that you can handle fiddly stuff like this. Also, apparently minor things like many of the tiny screws for the case and internals are different lengths so need to be kept in order - inserting the longer ones accidentally into the wrong holes can understandably cause irreparable damage. No warning of these hazards are given!! Furthermore, the old battery is extremely difficult to remove because of the tenacious double sided adhesive tape used for fixing. You literally have to quite forcefully dig around with a spatula to ease and eventually prise it off - again the danger being you could easily slip and damage delicate wiring and internal components. After removing the battery, you then have to use solvent and a non- abrasive blade ( I used a nylon spatula and isopropyl alcohol) to remove the remaining gunk and to allow the replacement to fit properly. Finally, and arguably the thing that could go most wrong is fixing the new battery in slightly the wrong place so you can't connect the rigid multi-plug - there are alignment holes, but you have to be very precise in doing this before the adhesive tape grabs hold! Argh. Fortunately my installation worked fine in the end but I'm used to doing fiddly repairs along similar lines.

I recently purchased a laptop battery and have been using it for a couple of months now. Unfortunately, the capacity has already decreased drastically. In hindsight, I'd rather pay a bit more and get an official battery upgrade from the manufacturer. The installation process was a little difficult, but I was able to find some helpful videos on YouTube that guided me through it. Overall, I'm not sure I would purchase this battery again. The decrease in capacity over such a short period of time is a bit disappointing. If you do decide to buy this battery, make sure to carefully follow the installation instructions to avoid any issues.

One of the screwdrivers doesn't fit, and I haven't been able to change the battery yet. Please help!

Ottimo prodotto, ho acquistato questa battere per il mio macbook pro a febbraio 2025, recentemente ho avuto un problema e il venditore ha provveduto in pochissimo tempo alla sostituzione. Consiglio vivamente l'acquisto di questo prodotto ma sopratutto consiglio vivamente il venditore. Servizio di assistenza esemplare e risoluzione della problematica in brevissimo tempo.

Remplacement batterie très facile Attention quand même si vous déconnectez la nappe du haut parleur gauche à ne pas arracher la connexion très fragile ! Après remontage vous pouvez effacer le message "réparation recommandée" qui reste en mémoire. Sur Pomme cliquer sur redémarrer et enfoncer les touches ALT + COMMAND (à droite de la barre d'espace) + P + R simultanément pendant que la machine redémarre jusqu'au 2ème "glong". L'indication dans a propos de ce mac/rapport système/alimentation/batterie indiquera cycle n° 1 et état batterie "normal". Et j'espère que ce sera reparti pour 3 ou 4 ans ! (La dernière batterie achetée sur Amazon n'a duré qu'un an, impossible de faire appel au SAV la boutique a fermé...
