I know a lot of the reviews for swimsuits on desertcart will advise you to order two sizes larger than your normal size, but with this one I recommend ordering your regular size. I am 5'2" and 135 lbs (on most days). I have an hourglass figure and I am a little on the muscular side. I ordered a size 6 and I normally wear anywhere between a 2 in pants (NY & Co.) to a 6 in other brands. I'm curvy so it depends on the cut. I also usually buy size 27 in the waist for jeans that use the waist to determine the size. I wear a 36C bra. Also, you want your swimsuit to fit well so that you'll feel secure in the pool or on the beach. I will say that the bust area could use a little more supportive material, but its still workable and doesn't take away from the overall quality of the suit. My cheeks hang out of the "boy shorts" very slightly, but its not a major issue. Just be aware that if you are a little curvy in the bottom area, you may experience this too. The front and center of the suit features a lined panel with ruching down the middle. The rushing and double panel is great to hide areas you want hidden, so to speak. It helps to hold in your tummy if you need a little extra support. The back of the suit is not lined, so keep that in mind. This is not a deal-breaker though, it's still a great suit! The halter is also comfortable around the neck and doesn't feel too tight or anything. Overall, this is a great swimsuit. I love the retro design and feel. So chic and sexy look without being too exposed. It's especially great when your have young kids and you're still getting your body together and want to feel cute and sexy at the same time! It's cute even if you don't have any kids though! It's just a nice, sexy, and well-made suit and the price is unbeatable. You will not find a suit like this in any regular store that's for sure. Plus desertcart is usually great about returns and exchanges. I am just so impressed with this suit that I wanted to share my experience with other women. I did not receive any discounts for this review. Happy shopping! Review: Absolutely Perfect Bathing Suit For Me! - I bought this suit and it fits better than I even hoped it would fit. I do like the "boy cut" legs as the legs are not so long that they look like you are wearing shorts...not even short-shorts. The legs do not bind, nor are they too loose. They just fit nicely around my legs and are the right length to keep me from feeling self-conscious (as in: 'wish I'd done a bikini waxing before putting this suit on'). I bought a size 14, expecting that this bathing suit, like so many I've bought in the past, would run small. Nope...it didn't. In fact, since I normally wear a size 12 in bottoms, I just bought two more of these suits in a size 12. The size 14 is fine...maybe just a little on the big side, however, so I will put it aside for those "feeling fat" times. I was surprised at how roomy the waist actually was. I am a 40 in inches around the top, and this suit for me, in a size 14 was just slightly too big. But the bra cups are nicely lined, and the support is just right. I am 61 years old, so you can imagine I can sure use the support up top. I have seen other bathing suits with the "boy legs" but most of them appear in the photos to be longer legs, and that was not what I was looking for. The legs on this bathing suit are just as pictured. Short legs that look as if they are barely legs at all. Just perfect for me. I weigh about 160; I am 5' 6" tall, and as I said, this suit was a really good fit for me. The price was right too. Last year I invested probably about $160 in two of the same suits and they don't fit me nearly as well as this one does. With those suits, I was always tugging at this or that area of those suits. Not with this suit. It covers everything nicely without appearing to be attempting to cover things too much. Oh...one other thing: the ties for the halter top are not so long that you can feel them hanging down your back when tied. This bathing suit arrived with the ties for the halter already tied, so I just put it on, and they were at the perfect length as tied, with nothing left over to hang down my back. I really couldn't be happier with this bathing suit. I do recommend it, but I also know we are all slightly different. So for me, it is a good fit. As I said, I am 40" on the top; about 36" at the waist, and 40" again on the bottom. I bought this suit to wear at the gym for when I'm in the pool or the heated whirlpool area. I expect, now that I'm a gym member, that I may lose a bit around the waist; that is my goal anyway, so buying two more of these suits one size down I don't think was a bad decision. Good luck with whatever suit best works for you. For me, this is one of the best suits I have ever purchased!

I loved, loved
I am 40 years old. I wear a size 14 in pants so I got a size 14 in this suit. I am curvy. I loved, loved, loved the suit. So cute! It was so cute I saw 5 different woman in this exact suit while I was on vacation. Everyone I saw wearing it was of different sizes and shapes. It really looked adorable on everyone I saw. I couldn't believe what great quality it was given the cost effectiveness of it. I was looking at suits over $100 and then I found this under $50!! My only complaint is that I could have used a little more upper body support. My breasts kept falling out of the bottom of the supportive cups and I did a lot of readjusting. Now if I was just laying poolside, it would not have been an issue. My 19 year old petite daughter loved it so much, after vacation she purchased one! It really is a suit for everyone! You won't be disappointed!

Cute suit with a few flaws.
I really wanted this to work! I bought a bunch of Cocoship swimsuits and the sizing is all over the map. This was the only suit with an actual boyleg cut and I LOVE that and wanted a suit with that. However, the smallest size was just a tad baggy (and this is despite other Cocoship suits in a medium being too small/short-bodied). A slightly too baggy suit while dry will bag and sag in the water, so it had to go back. The top could have been a little more supportive (adding a keyhole and closure center back would accomplish this). I felt like I would be in danger of side-boob pop out if I were to dive in this. An extra support panel there would be nice. The back seemed a little thin and I wonder what it would do when wet (I could see the pattern on the underwear I was wearing while trying it on). But all that aside, it was extremely flattering and I would have kept it if it had been a bit smaller. I liked that the suit was long enough for my torso (5'7" tall).

Great suit but order up if you're a 'busty' girl.
This swimsuit is adorable. I've been wanting one of these retro style one pieces for some time but they were so expensive, even hundreds of dollars. I ordered a size 6 and I'm about 5'2", 130 lbs and it fit me width and lengthwise just fine. The fabric seems to be of good quality and felt good during wear. I have not yet worn is while swimming. I like the boyleg openings because I've had 3 children and this covers those imperfections otherwise known as stretchmarks. I also have a pretty wide hips and larger bum, but the boylegs cover sufficiently which I'm very happy with. I also didn't find myself constantly pulling them down and didn't notice any rolling. I will agree with others that the bust area can seem small. I'm a 34C which is among the "average female" size. However in this swimsuit, that's probably the biggest you should be. So if you're a size 6 and are a FULL C cup or bigger, I'd order a size bigger. (Or order 2 and return one) I would also say that the straps for tying the halter are a little short for me. I prefer to tie my straps in a bow and due to the thickness and shorter length, there is almost not enough strap to tie and I end up with what looks like a large bunch of tied fabric at the nape of my neck. I like the cute look of the straps when they hang down on the back so I ended up just tying in a knot instead. It wasn't a deal breaker for me so still 5 stars!

Going to the pool for the first time in years thanks to this suit!
I LOVE this suit! I ordered several suits to try and wasn't expecting much for the low price, but I am really impressed with the quality. I Got it to wear on vacation. Just planned on wearing it at the private pool at the house we rented for the second part of our trip, because I would rather die than wear a bathing suit in public, in front of all those people at the hotel pool on the first part of the trip. But after trying it on, guess who's going to the hotel pool for the first time in years! This is so flattering, and covers up my trouble areas (top of thighs and butt). My stomach isn't an issue, like a lot of ladies I carry my weight in my hips and thighs, and this suit made my waist look tiny, my curves look great and the ruched front made my stomach look as awesome as it can at a size 16 anyway lol! The top is a tiny bit big, but I just tied the straps tighter, and the back is just ever so slightly looser than I'd prefer, but I feel like if I'd gone down a size I wouldn't have liked the fit of the bottom as much. For reference, I'm 5'4, weigh 160, and am pear shaped, and I bought a size 16. I wanted to cover up my thighs, but was terrified of what the boy legs would look like. So glad I took the chance and tried this suit! It's perfect!

The boy short fits just like a boy short should and it doesn't cut in ...
(wife speaking) I am a big fan of this swimsuit. It is really cute on and it is very flattering. The boy short fits just like a boy short should and it doesn't cut in too much. It fits snug to the body without cutting in and leaving marks or lines. The rouging in the mid section is very flattering to the stomach area. The top part is very flattering as well and has just enough support to make it worth while. It could have a little more support build into the chest area but it is just enough to hold you in and feel comfortable in. The straps around the neck are comfortable as well. Usually this type of neck strap cuts into my neck and is a bit uncomfortable but this one is not like that. It doesn't cut into much. It is very comfortable to wear and I feel very comfortable wearing it as it is a very conservative and covered up look. The red color of the suit is a fantastic red. I really like it! Overall, I am a big fan and will probably order another one.

Love it so far..more to come once water tested
I love this suit, but will update if I hit the water next week when I wear it. I am concerned about the top being a little looser at the bust and what will happen when it gets wet, so be aware that the bust is cut a little bigger. I am a C cup, although I have lost weight and may be closer to a B now (yes, everything shrinks...lol!) It is true to size otherwise. I am now a 10 and I ordered a 10 (5'2, 140). I love the ruching along the front and the classy look of the suit. It seems comfortable, but I would like more security than a tie neck. The cut is ok, not too short, but I will again update once I wear them in action and am moving around. I am always concerned about suits rising in the rear and between the legs. I would give it 5 stars if they were just a tad longer, but I am very pleased because I normally do not order clothing, much less a swimsuit, online due to difficulty with sizing.I am glad a purchased this suit.
