Sport Crew Socks, Stretchy and Comfortable Crew Socks with Padding and Built in Bug and Tick Protection

I wear these socks whenever I garden and they keep bugs from biting me. They don't have any chemical smell and work well to repel insects. Bought these after getting bit by fire ants. Those bites itched and left welts for 1 month. Now the fire ants crawl on the socks and quickly drop away.The socks fit comfortably on my feet although they sometimes feel tight on my calves after hours of gardening (swollen legs). I have worn them around the house for mosquito protection with no issues.

These come up just below my knee. Very comfortable. Have a slight compression feeling which I like. Was afraid they would be too hot in these 90 degree temperatures, but was surprised at how cool they were. Kept my lower legs insect free too! Very happy! Buying another pair !

Not kidding. Tick bites are now causing so many types of illnesses that are difficult if not impossible to diagnose and cure, that these socks are a GREAT preventative. They are saturated with a tick repellent. I only wear mine when I think I'll be walking through tall grasses or hiking in the woods because they need special care: wash separately, and realize that they repellent will eventually wash out. However, it will take a lot of wearings and washings before they lose their effectiveness. All my family has these now.

Very comfortable socks…I have about 5 pairs and found that I am not wearing any other socks. I like knowing ticks won’t survive on them as well…

I used them to hike in Costa Rica and there were no bugs in my shoes or around my ankles so it worked perfectly.

I was a little skeptical, but these socks are awesome. My ankles and feet usually get bitten up by no-see-ums and mosquitoes despite wearing socks and long pants. But I have noticed a significant decrease in bites when I wear these socks. Must buy a supply for every summer!

These are unisex socks. So women wearing size 6 can expect that these will fit bigger than expected. The material is not breathable. The worst part of it is that these are completely ineffective. Just where regular socks, save yourself money, and use DEET.
