While yet I can not say anything about the duration of the work, but the rest Everything is fine. The only thing I can recommend is to make the left button somehow more convenient. Pressing it in a glove is not very convenient.

I have barely charged and investigated the features on this item. Yes I found it comfortable to wear and the light great. The light options are good. How do I comment on durability after three days? It does seem expensive and there are far cheaper options, but these may work out a false economy if this headlamp lasts longer because it feels well made and sturdy. Amazon would like me to purchase another already, do they think I have two heads?

Bit of a long story this....... tried to purchase this Storm 500-R direct from Black Diamond on their website but encountered errors in that it would not accept my address and said it could not deliver to the address I input. I gave up and 'paid the extra' to purchase it through Amazon. (Yes it would have been cheaper direct from Black Diamond. Anyway, received item and immediately found the very short charging cable was faulty in some way as it would not charge the torch. I did have other cables that worked, but I had paid for a cable and wanted one that worked. This suggests issues with manufacture / quality control, so I returned item to Inglesport - at which point I found out I HAD TO PAY RETURN POSTAGE - for a defective item. You are having a laugh???? So, I have no faith in Black Diamond and little belief in Inglesport. I am now out of pocket for a rubbish product I have returned.

Brilliant. Good battery life. Very bright. Easy to use. Perfect. Light weight and durable.

I was super happy with this unit but just over a year down the line it seems to have an internal controls issue which is very disappointing based on the brand expectations. Not sure if I would buy this product again. Not a trusted brand in my books anymore

I'm very pleased with this light. It provides a number of useful options for lighting from spotlight to wide light, bright and dim and adjustable in between. There are two buttons which select between lighting modes...long press and short presses provide the modes. I only have two complaints...it does not tilt downward very far. This is somewhat made up for using the wide area mode but not useful when trying to use the spotlight. My other complaint is the 2nd press button...the smaller and slightly recessed button next to the larger more tactile primary button. It's difficult to tell when I have my finger on the smaller recessed button and often find I take the headlamp off to look at where the button is to be sure I know where to find it. Overall, it's a great quality headlamp and would certainly recommend. I love the USB rechargeable feature and overall value of this light with the features it has.
