Very handy
I was using one of those typical cheap battery operated robots and I just assumed thatโs as good as it gets. Well one day it stopped working so it started my venture into finding a replacement. I learned lots about pool robots specs, brand reliability and etc. I decided on this model. With all its bells and whistles. Now the price is a bit eye watering and itโs definitely an investment, but Iโm happy to report it is well worth it. My pool is the cleanest itโs even been. The cleaner is so simple to operate tho I do like to use the app for the additional cleaning modes. It can be just as easy to drop in and hit one button and walk away too. The basket design is well thought out. The additional fine filters are a must for me. I donโt get too much in ways of big materials but more sand and silt. The water line function works extremely well. It even has the ability to get up a few stairs and sunning platform in the pool. Doesnโt get stuck or tangled at all. I run it once a week on an ultra cleaning modes which takes around 2.5 hours in my pool. The only thing I could find wrong was the come to the surface function. It doesnโt really seem to work. I tend to just pull it up by the cord slowly. It is HEAVY so be aware. The caddy does help for moving it on land and storing tho. But I could see this a bit too much for someone older or with limited strength to pick up.

UPDATED review. Chronic power supply problems. So far, two have completely failed.
Yet another update: The second power supply has now failed. The first symptoms of the failure were that it had apparently "lost" its configuration and had to be re-adopted/re-connected to my WiFi network, the same as if it were a brand new unit. It lasted for 1 cleaning. The next time I tried to use it, it was in the same state only that time, despite attempting to re-connect it a half dozen or more times, it would not successfully connect to my Wifi network. Mind you, the power supply itself when in use sits less that 30 feet away, line of sight, from an outdoor Ubiquiti Unifi Pro access point that's also supporting multiple WiFi cameras that are several hundred feet away and are all working fine, so it's not a WiFi signal problem. Maytronics continues to pretend that they're not aware of chronic wide-spread problems with these power supplies. Revising this review again. I now truly regret this purchase and wish I have never seen this thing. Here's the latest: It's about a year old at this point, still in warranty. So far we've had one power supply go bad. It took a long time to get a replacement because they were out of stock. I assume because so many of them fail. I just dropped off the whole system at UPS to ship for more warranty work. Now we get nothing but error messages saying that the controller can't communicate with the robot. After talking with support they decided I needed to send the whole thing in (at my considerable expense) to the repair center in Georgia, still under warranty. Here's the telling part: As soon as I walked into the UPS store with that huge box, the counter person said, "That's a pool robot, isn't it?". Says I, "Yes, how did you know?" Counter person, "Because we get a LOT of those." All Maytronics? "Yep". Don't get me wrong, when it works it works really well, but with two big problems still under warranty and the initial cost, I tell you that dumb, simple pressure side Polaris we got with the pool is looking hard to beat. Further update: Checking the UPS tracking told me it arrived at their facility 7 days ago, yet I've heard nothing so I contacted them for a status. Here is what I was told: "โข I see that your unit was delivered on 9/25/24. The unit has not been received in the system yet. Receiving is one week behind due to a surge of units coming in needing repairs. The turnaround time is 2-3 weeks after being received in the system. We appreciate your patience during this time. Once repairs are completed the unit is shipped back to you and a tracking email is sent. They also send an email letting you know when the unit is received in the system." So their receiving is at least a week behind, and service is at least 2-3 weeks behind. Why? Because of the number of units that have had problems severe enough to require them to be sent in for service. To quote a friend of mine: " It's h*ll when it's well, but it's sick ALL the time!" Original revision: After having lived with it for about a year now, I'm revising my review. Performance-wise, it works very well and I'm happy with the job it does. HOWEVER: Slightly less than 12 months in, the power supply has completely failed and will not power up at all. Contacting customer support, they agreed to ship me a new power supply with almost no questions asked. In fact it was SO easy that now I'm thinking that Maytronics must already be aware that their power supplies are plagued with frequent failures, especially considering some verbiage I found on their web site about the process for dealing with power supply problems. Also, although the robot itself can be operated without an internet connection or with their app on a smart phone, most of the features are not available without one or both of these. For instance, you can't set up a cleaning schedule, you can't alter the type or the duration of the cleaning cycle, you can't manually "drive" the robot around, and you can't get feedback about the condition of the filters. Their default mode of operation requires an active internet and wifi connection as well as a connection to the Maytronics servers. It's possible to switch the robot to communicate with the phone app over bluetooth, but that option is somewhat hidden in the menus and even in that mode, it's not clear whether or not the system still communicates back to Maytronics. (I could find that out via a Wireshark trace but so far, I haven't cared enough to do that.) I'm still happy with how well it cleans, but the "other stuff" above is now more of a concern to me personally. Original review: We have a large-ish 40,000+ gallon pool Likes: Does a thorough job. Filters relatively easy to clean. Being attached to a cable as opposed to wireless may seem like a con, but it means the suction motors can be stronger and more powerful than they could be if it were 100% wireless which means it does a good job. Climbs/cleans walls and cleans the waterline very well. Dislikes: The Android app used to control it does not have an 'exit' function. You can dismiss the app by using the 'home' button on your phone but the app will continue to run in the background which means it's still consuming memory and battery (and possibly sending who knows what information back to the Maytronics servers). To completely exit the app and stop it, one has to use the phones "force stop" function. (This is probably true of all Dolphin robot cleaners). When I reported this behavior to tech support, they seemed unconcerned and not willing to fix it so now that I know, I always just force stop the app when I'm done.

Dolphin Nautilus Titan 80 Percent (Really Good) On Older Curved In-Ground Pool
I am very happy with this product! I have gone through several other pool cleaning robots (Dolphin Cayman, Premier, and others) to finally get a pool cleaning robot that actually works. It isn't perfect, but I have a very old in-ground concrete pool with funky curves and stairs that was recently resurfaced. My biggest complaint was that other robots always got consistently stuck on the concave deep-end drain. So far, the Titan has been able to navigate the drain pretty consistently. The images show the pool with the Titan underwater. I really enjoy the large basket, but living in the desert where it gets very windy and dusty, the basket accumulates a lot of mud, so it needs cleaning about every three days. Theh Titan can be scheduled via the My Dolphin App, so it runs daily each morning. I I set it to floor mode, and brush the walls and steps manually. This seems to work the best. Out of the box setup was easy, as was the app. As the title says, the Titan is about an 80 percent solution to my pool cleaning (which I consider a win)!. I have not had to run a vacuum since purchasing the unit. The pool had several days of El Paso dust waiting for the Titan to arrive, and after three back to back cleaning cycles, what you see in the images (plus some brushing) was the result from the Titan. Neither the Cayman nor the Premier could handle even a daily cleaning without getting stuck on the drain. I am very pleased with the unit, and my only regret is that I did not spend the money to buy the Titan first ( I am now the proud owner of three pool robots with two parked permanently in the shed). Save yourself the hassle and spend the money on the best unit; you will wind up spending it anyway to get the results you expect.

I've had better, I don't regret it but I'm not happy with this purchase either.
This is my second robot, the other one I threw away because it was left out of the pool for a long time and it looked somewhat battered. Personally, I had a lot of confidence in the brand, but after this model, I was disappointed, the suction force is horribly low compared to the previous one that had "Dolphin Premier" this version is not capable of lifting fine dust even with the ultrafine filters that I had to buy separately, since they do not come with this model. In general, to remove the dirt from the bottom like thick things it works relatively, you have to send it several times or through your cell phone, pass it through the area two or three times. I have a pool under mesh and it does not suffer from dirt, only the dust from the common deterioration of the surroundings of the pool that normally falls into it, that is why I bought this robot but otherwise very disappointed.

1 Star โ Extremely Disappointed, Would Not Recommend
I really wanted to love this robot considering the ($1500) price and the reputation of the brand, but my experience has been incredibly frustrating. The cleaner worked fine initially, but after a relatively short period of time it started having communication and startup issues. The power supply would still connect to WiFi and Bluetooth, but the robot itself would not move or respond properly. Troubleshooting this thing has been a nightmare. Between the app pairing issues, proprietary cables, confusing error messages, and expensive replacement parts, it feels like youโre buying into an ecosystem designed to fail expensively. Even diagnosing the problem is difficult because the robot, cable, and power supply all seem dependent on each other to function correctly. For a premium-priced pool robot, I expected something much more reliable and serviceable. Instead, I ended up spending hours troubleshooting connectors, cables, and pairing procedures instead of actually cleaning my pool. Replacement cables alone cost over $200, and the repair costs quickly approach the price of a new robot. The app and โsmartโ features sound great on paper, but in practice they just add more failure points. Overall, Iโm very disappointed with the durability, repairability, and ownership experience. I would not purchase this robot again and would not recommend it to others.

Amazing warranty claim process
I bought this excellent Dolphin pool robot made by wonderful Maytronics, a company that stands behind its products, in May of 2023. The robot worked flawlessly until the end of the 2024 season, at which time it experienced a communication issue, in which the power control could not communicate with the robot. I decided to put it away for the winter and try again in the spring of 2025, but the issue persisted. I submitted a warranty claim with Maytronics, and they sent me a return authorization so I could ship it to the closest repair center, O'NEILL AND SONS in DOWNINGTOWN, PA. I sent it via UPS Ground on a Friday and received it back that Tuesdayโ4 days later! OโNeil and Sons had replaced the power cable and shipped it back immediately. My 2 year old Dolphin is as good as new, and one year of the 3-year warranty remains. A satisfied customer, Iโm grateful that this considerable purchase was supported by the company behind it. Itโs time like these that I know Iโll be loyal to a company like Maytronics. Thank you!

Needs 2- 3ft of water to operate
The robot would constantly get stuck on our sun shelf and shutoff because it is only 12โ deep. Maytronics tech support says it needs 3ft or it will shut down / senses it is out of the water. It also tried to climb out of the pool which you see in the picture. Just about flipped over but shutdown instead. If you have a shallow area like we do or a walk in pool donโt buy this unit. Maytronics customer support told me that all the models of their robots will shut down like this. Other than this issue I was pretty happy with it, although it weighs a ton picking it up out of the water. My wife could never do it herself. We have a Hayward Trivac 500 for three years now since the pool was new. It always worked well, but figured to try a high end product. Tonight Iโll be taking my Trivac off the storage shelf and using it again. The Trivac would go up on the sun shelf and find its way back off, as it is a pressure cleaner. I really wanted this to work out, but it is just not practical for my situation.

Excellent.. took some work
First I will start with.. the connection issues are REAL!! I am pretty tech savvy and I thought all of the reviews on the MyDolphin app didn't know what they're doing but man oh man where they right. The app will not connect no-matter what you do. The QR code you're supposed to scan does nothing but sends you to an error page. The current app is broken. I have the latest Samsung flagship S22 Ultra on the latest version of Android so I assumed (correctly) the problem wasn't with me. The Solution: You'll need to find and download version 1.4.1, the thing connected immediately and has stayed connected this whole time (less than 24hrs). Then turn off automatic updates for that app. What I haven't tried is, now that I'm connected, I thought about updating the app thinking the app would just stay connected because it was connected in the previous version. It's a theory, I'm not going to try it. The old 1.4.1 version works great! I had the Dolphin Premier, the bagged system in that robot wasn't great. The basket in the E70 is a huge upgrade. The Premier would also give me "filter is full" error after each run. I'd take it out, clean it, next run same thing. Plus all of the smart features of the E70... nice upgrade. I'll update if anything changes, but this thing is pretty sweet! Edit: recently updated app and everything still works great!

Second Pool Season as works amazing
Last summer was the first year I had the pool robot it worked great. This summer 2024 our second summer with the robot and still works great. It works so well I am questioning the need for the pool company I hire every summer. My pool is 20โx40โ and it does a great job cleaning it. The picture are for today July 2nd, we had fireworks at the house which left a massive mess in the pool. I turned on the Dolphin to start cleaning after the fireworks, then the normal 5 am clean this morning. I was so surprised as to how clean it was when I woke up. Still some debris in the pool but I think that is all due to the wind blowing it in to the pool from the grass during the day. I am also on the second season with my Betta (surface skimmer) these two in conjunction keep my pool super clean. I must say I find the Dolphin filter to be way better than my sand filter! I am a big fan of pool robots!!!
