Really Great Product
I love this product! I read some reviews and overall they were positive but there's always a few that make you wonder so I put off ordering for a few days but then thought I'd give it a go and I'm so pleased I did! I bought it to craft with, for various projects I had in mind.Firstly earrings and I'm really delighted how they turned out - it's so beautifully light but also really sturdy, I never felt I may accidentally tear it. It took the pen ink really well and it was easy to achieve a smooth-edge cut with regular, household scissors.I also glued it to the underside of metal coasters to protect the table surface and it stuck securely with contact adhesive and just the right thickness for this (2mm). You get loads so could do a lot of place mats and coasters. It's a very uniform thickness and in the one roll I've thoroughly visually checked there's no gaps, holes or irregularities.I'm really delighted and full of ideas of what to make next.

Even better than before
Nicely made sheet material. I use it for coaster bases - and I think the 2mm is actually more suitable than the 3mm I'd bought previously, for this purpose. But it does inevitably have some holes in it, as its composed of particles bonded together. So don't overdo the glue!Updated 03/22. My supply from 3 or 4 years ago ran out, so I ordered more. It's even better now. The latest version is made up from smaller particles, so they bond closer together without air gaps. If you hold it up against the light, there are hardly any 'holes', in fact.So there is much less risk of glue seeping through these gaps, when you bond it to wood or whatever. My photo shows the old version on the left, and the new version on the right - hopefully this will show the difference.Highly recommended.

NICE STUFF - BUT...
You probably won't make this mistake, but do be aware that the rolls are unlined, and cork is very friable. It will crumble if you're not careful. If you want to cover something, then it's perfect! (providing you are careful when shaping it!!) but if you want to make mats etc, then you WILL need to add some form of backing to it, to stop it from disintegrating. This is LOVELY material, and very good value for money! - but you do need to be careful!

Perfect for me
This does my train layout perfectly and it’s easy to stick down. I use PVA, paste it on and leave it for a few minutes before sticking it down as it expands slightly.I’ve also used Evostick spray glue with this, works a treat. Again, spray on the glue and leave it for a few minutes before sticking it down.

Lot of cork for the money
Firstly you get a lot of cork in the six rolls supplied making it good value. It is not top quality, I found that the edges crumble a bit so take care when cutting but for my needs it was fine. There are higher qualities available but you get what you pay for so just consider this before buying. I might need some more and would not hesitate buying more of this.
