how much space is there between the top of the tray and the bottom of the desk? are the c-clips heigh adjustable?

Does this work on glass desks?

Does any one know why when you attach this to a desk, it stops sliding smoothly? Now that mine is intalled, it drags out?

Since the clamp is on the desktop, does it get in your way? Are you ever running your hand over it or not able to have your books there?
