Wasserstein Alarm Clock Camera Case - Compatible with Wyze Cam V4/V3/V3 Pro/OG - Cover for Low-Key Camera Placement (White) (Camera NOT Included)

I've only had one issue with this clock cam cover, and it was an easy fix. First, do use a black camera, and if using a wyze cam, be sure you turn off the red recording light option, and the spotlight option in your settings. The issue I had was the front plastic cover, which is the darkening cover, started to peel off on corner, and if someone had given it a solid yank would have had full view of the camera. I simply removed it myself and used epoxy glue to afix it back into place.I've not had a single issue with recording, using a Wyze camera. But please note, this clock is large, and the time is only at the bottom, so anyone familiar with camera's might know exactly the purpose of the clock. Still, it works well, and for someone breaking into our home it'd be kind late for them to notice it. I also use it when the cleaning crew is hear, and it gives me some piece of mind. But they are aware there are camera's in our home as we told them before they began with us.

I bought this for a WyzeOG. When service people are tat the house, I want assurance that they did not enter the off-limits areas. This unassuming looking case helps with that. It has a boring modern look that blends in with other items on the desk. Under normal illumination the view through the camera shows no loss in quality even though it is looking through what appears go be a black glass. Night time results are a bit less stellar. When it is sufficiently dark, the camera doesn't achieve the same level of quality that it does without the case. It is necessary to turn off the IR emitters on the camera and rely on the dimmer IR emitter in the camera. I found this to be no loss since in absolute darkness a person wouldn't be able to easily move around the room.While the Wuze )G uses MicroUSB for power, the camera uses a USB power supply and has a built-in power passthrough with a Micro USB output to power the WyzeOG.Oh yeah, and the clock on this actually works!

This crafty, well made stealth cam Alarm Clock Camera Case is listed as compatible with WYZE Cam's V4, V3 as well as the older and smaller OG. The box that arrived doesn't mention V4 compatible, only V3, V2, OG's. I opened the Alarm Clock box and immediately noticed the square stealth cam holder was 1/8-1/4" too small to slide in my V4 Cam. This issue was resolved however when I merely removed out the inner small cam cube entirely and slide in my V4 cam without it. It was a tight finger placed fit but adequate to properly bring my V4 into proper alignment and as near the viewing portal as the designers had intended. The WYZE Cam settings suggested and prefered by the Wasserstein folks were correct for my V4 Cam operating inside this alarm clock while showing me the area where the Cam was intended to watch.

Don't know why they tell you to use a black camera. I used a white Blink Mini. The face is black and the white border doesn't show as the camera goes into a bracket. I think they meant Black Mini 2. It comes with a foam filler for the Mini 2 but not sure how that fits. The Mini fits perfectly black or white. The only difficult part well not really but takes a bit of effort is plugging in the USB as it has a 90deg elbow. 🤔 It comes with a USB C adapter so not sure why some people are saying the plug is wrong and won't work with the Mini 2.The clock itself is ok. The build quality is ok it's not cheapo. As a clock one sees the digital display on the bottom and may wonder what comes on above it. NOTHING because there's a camera in there. 🤣 The picture is good in light but when the IR is on during the dark you can see a red light giving it away that there may be a camera.The IR use does show a slight glare of the lens. 😐 It comes with what looks like stickers but if you cover up the IR light you get no night vision and why not just shut off the IR. 🤔 Not sure what it's for. Anyways this is pretty cool they need to make more things that can hide cameras indoor and outdoor and make it to where a camera is completely hidden yet FULLY functional. The audio is slightly muted because it's in a box but it's not bad.Motion sensitivity is slightly affected but not much and you can just bump up the setting. The speaker if you talk is slightly muted because it's in a box but just a hair it's not like it completely shuts it off. I like this and would buy more but it's a bit pricey for what it is. They need more things like this.

I bought this as a precaution to turn on when I am not home. It works perfectly.The unit has its own charger. You take off the backing, put the camera into the compartment, close it in with the arms, and plug the camera into the mini cord that is part of the unit and then the unit powers the camera from the electric cable.It looks like an aesthetic alarm clock. I would recommend using a black Wyze camera instead of white. You can't tell unless you're up close but you can see the outline of a white camera if you're looking directly at it from right in front of it. I think a black camera would take a lot more effort to spot.That red light is only visible when taking a picture of the alarm clock. Make sure to turn off all lights for the camera. It does make the video feed black and white, but still very clear. I used an older camera where the visual is normally a little grainy but this didn't make it any worse. It's exactly the same.

this item came and worked great.. for about a month. then the time started flickering and it stopped delivering power to the camera. the company sent me a replacement unit and of course in about a month the time has started flickering again and the camera is not receiving power. this thing is junk.

Update 5/19/25I actually ordered this clock 9/24 and it has been in use since then.The power source is a Male USB-C to Male USB-A cable. The C side plugs into the back of the clock and the A side plugs into a little power brick.My mom tends to rotate the clock on her desk back and forth about 45 degrees, so she can see it when sitting at her desk, then also she can see it when she's on the other side of the room from her bed. Over time, I think this has started to loosen the connections / plugs.Over the last few weeks, I keep getting notifications that the camera is offline, or it will be face down on her desk because the numbers are flashing and she doesn't like that.I did some troubleshooting and tried different cables and that didn't really fix anything. Then I replaced the power brick and there was about a week after that where there weren't any issues, but now its happening again, but less frequently than before.Ultimately, I think a standard, hard wired power cord would make this product MUCH better.Original review was 4 stars, but I've taken a star away.Works great keeping tabs on my mom and staff at her nursing home.Only 4 stars because of the giant empty black space over the actual clock that just makes it look suspicious. Maybe figure out a way to put the date up there or something.Also, I didn't read the directions fully and wasn't until it had been in place a while and noticed staff occasionally looking at it weird that I realized there was a red light in the clock part that would come on during recording. This is different than the light on the camera itself, which I had covered on install.I turned off the setting that activated the light on the clock and no one pays it any attention now.I did have to buy an adapter for the USB plug. The description indicated it was a USB-C but it was a Micro-USB, so it needed an adapter to plug the camera into the clock.

It was easy to install the wyze cam inside. It says nice and hidden in the clock. Read the directions for setting the clock. You have to hold the clock button down until the numbers flash in order to set the time. The wyze cam image looks fine but due to the cam being inside the clock the night vision doesn't work. If you want a hidden cam with night vision you may have to buy one that was made with a camera inside. Someone wrote the night vision doesn't work. The IR light for the night vision is blocked by the alarm clock case. However the night vision does works due to the lights in the alarm clock. Set the night vision to auto with IR lights off and it should work. I got a nice bright night vision image doing it this way with the Wyze cam Og. I can't confirm if the same thing works for the other Wyze cams.

This is a well made product , my camera fitted perfectly , for the price I believe it was a good buy. As usual Amazon delivery was prompt. Overall I was happy with my purchase.

At first I had questions regarding if I'd be able to see the camera in plain sight. When it came through I was more than pleased that after installing it I literally have to be eye to eye with the alarm clock and even then it's hard to catch! Very impressed and video quality is great considering my room is naturally dim. Great purchase!!

Great way to hide the wyze

Works great been using it over a year and no issues. Most people just think it’s a standard clock and don’t know there is a camera inside.
