Can you use lid in the down position

It is not recommended to use with the lid closed. I have had mine for a few months and even on low I cannot close the top. It would get too hot

21.8" D X 51" W X 41.3" H Estimating weight 100 lbs with propane tank. Propane tank weighs about 35 lbs alone. It doesn't come with a propane tank. It is on wheels and easy to move around my deck. I would buy it again.
