Is this the original or new formula?

This is basically the original formula, however, the bottle states it doesn't dry out the hair as much as the original. I can't tell any difference. Still cleans product and hair spray out of your hair without over drying your hair.

Does it burn Or irritate eyes If it gets in them?

Have used this for years. It burns a little, but I have bad eyes, so I keep a dry cloth handy and immediately wipe suds away so no problem.
