Any idea why the keyboard pad is not rectangular? Wouldn't the shape cause the right hand to be uneven with the left?

I put the indent on the keyboard side. It sits right behind the space key and leaves a little more room for thumb movement. It seems to make sense.

Which direction should the wrist rest curve face? Product and customer images both show both!

I bought this product for my step-mom. I don't think it matters whichever way feels better to you. Because, some products tell you to use it one way, but I find things work better another way instead.

Is this memory foam wrist rest suitable for cleaning?

It is recommended to wash by hand or wipe with a cloth, but it is definitely not suitable for machine washing.

Can i place heat on there to create my own design?

I’m not sure but I think it might get ruined or burnt. So I won’t recommend it for something like that, it’s best to ask the seller.
