Good replacement for John Deere LA105
Fit perfect on John Deere LA105 with the single cylinder 19.5hp Briggs & Stratton engine. Fired right up after installation and mower now runs smooth again. I previously wasted my time starting with the ultra cheap chinese replacement carb. The Mower symptoms were as if the choke was on and was misfiring as though spark plug was fouled, also would not idle. I chased the ghost by checking valve clearances, push rods, rocker arms, head gasket, spark plug, fuel pump, replaced anti backfire solenoid two different times, new fuel filter, cleaned factory carb twice, replaced solenoid again, swapped carbs multiple times. Bottom line, had I merely not cheaped out and spent the ~$100 and replace the factory Nikki junk carb with this Briggs & Stratton carb, I would have saved a lot of time and aggravation. So, writing all this in hopes to save someone else from going through the same issues. Also, I had no problems with the choke function on this Briggs carb. I did not have to modify anything.

Great Carburetor Replacement for the Craftsman T-110 Mower!
I did my research first on YouTube "Raley's Small Engines" ; ole T-Bone is a "Trip" when it comes to small engine repairs. My Craftsman T-110 riding mower was dragging & backfiring in mowing gear; in regular riding mode it was smooth. It had that cheap Nikki carburetor from China on the Craftsman. I checked both the oil and the spark plug; Gasoline Octane was in the oil and in the sparkplug compartment. So I changed the spark plug and the oil. Then I replaced the carburetor. I did not have to make any modifications to the carburetor system.. And the best part; after I got the carburetor installed with all the connections, I cranked up the mower quickly the first try. That Briggs & Stratton # 594593 Carburetor was well worth the extra money I paid for it!!

Original vs. Aftermarket
Old Crafstman LT1000 lawn mower carburetor failing. I didnāt want to "waste time" cleaning it, then I decided to buy a new one.Why to pay $100.00 dollars if you can get it for less than $20.00 bucks? Well⦠the answer is: cheap can be a nightmare!.I tried 2 different aftermarket carburetors and both were defective.I'm a tinker, I'm not a mechanic. I took me a week of testing and making research to realize that the 2 "new carburetors" where the cause of failing, not my lack of experience or my lawn mower. At the moment I installed my third carburetor, the original Briggs and Stratton carburetor, my old lawn mower started running so smoothly as I never felt if before. It is worth it to buy some OEM parts. They save you time and headaches that, at the end, they become more expensive than paying for an original part.

THE MISSING LINK
I should write a book. My Briggs&Stratton Engine ran terribly from when it was brand new. I tried the following: 1. knock-off chinese carburetor rebuild kit. Ran Crummy. 2. I tried American rebuild kit. Ran Crummy. 3. I tried Chinese knockoff entire carburetor. Ran crummy 4. I tried Walbro Style knockoff. Ran Crummy. 5. I bought the Briggs & Stratton OEM Genuine Carburetor...................I now cut the grass with a Rolls Royce Lawn Mower. That was the missing link. It's just hard to believe the same engine runs sooooo much differently. ie PERFECT. I was never able to use this mower for about 9 years because it was hard to start, had so much exhaust fumes to make it uncomfortable. I even began seriously to doubt my own mechanics skills. But with this carburetor, it runs effortlessly, and beautifully. Remember, each time I did a rebuild or carb replacement that entailed a LOT OF EFFORT to pull everything off of the engine in order to get to the carburetor. The mower is a Husqvarna R 120S. Why did B&S not put this carburetor on it in the first place instead of the Nikki ( crummy ) carburetor. Hope this helps someone who is going through this.

fixed 17HP Briggs Intek
Original Walbro carb on my 17hp Briggs Intek motor got water in it over the winter from rain seeping in through the bowl o-ring. Tried to clean it up first, but it was a mess and corroded badly. Tried a cheaper version first and thought it was OK, but after putting it in use I found out that it was not jetted correctly for my 17hp motor. Under load, the motor would load up with too much fuel and cause the motor to miss and spew out black smoke. In order to get it running correctly, I had to stop moving and ease off the throttle to get the flooding condition to clear before proceeding. This carb was a perfect fit and the mower handles the changing load without flooding out. The new design also fixes the Walbro float bowl problem that allows water in if the o-ring is not perfect.
