Solid ring, highly recommend.

Add a polished look and a layer of safely to your fire pit! Once assembled, it is quite sturdy. Not sure how durable it will be in rainforest since there were already a few scratches through the finish from shipping. 36 standard smaller "Wall Blocks" (12per layer) create a perfect pit.QUALITY: Feels sturdy when assembled. Finish is nice, but it will get a few scratches during shipping. The grate and poker are less sturdy but very useful.ADIRONDACK CHAIRS: Are very durable folding polywood also available on Amazon.SIZE SHOWN: This setup on 16 12"x12" patio blocks is 4'x4'. The affordable (less than $2.50 ea) ring blocks used came from the garden department of HD.ASSEMBLY TIME: It takes under an hour to assemble the lower grate and upper ring. And only about a half hour to place the 36 blocks in a circle. It is a very satisfying, quick, home improvement job!

Very sturdy and easy to assemble

This is a strong, sturdy, heavy duty fire ring. It is NOT a fire pit! It has no bottom. This would be suitable for a backyard area or camping area where the fire can touch the dirt (ground). If you wanted to use it elsewhere, like on a flagstone paved area, you might have to pick up a couple bags of sand to act as an insulator and put the fire pit on top of that.It comes with a fire grate as well.I'm definitely a fan, I like this design and especially the strength and durability.

I built an above ground fire ring with pavers using this fire ring as an insert into those pavers. This ring is heavy enough for that application, not sure I would use it as a stand along fire ring though. The supplied grate will last one year at most, that is very lightweight in my opinion. This is why the 4 stars. I would leave it out if I were the mfg, or make it a little more robust.

This is a quality steel ring for a 30-inch inside diameter fire pit. It can be used as a stand-alone product or can be customized to your liking.Very easy to put together, however, after installing the hardware, we decided that we wanted to purchase nuts and bolts that were of a larger diameter to better fill the holes drilled in the ring and larger washers. The original hardware that was provided was of lesser quality and we wanted our installation to last so we replaced it with the ones we bought at the local hardware store..The rack provided to raise the firewood off the ground and provide more oxygen flow was a nice bonus.Our installation included landscape block to surround the steel ring. The project came out great! We look forward to many years of memorable campfires.

It's a nice fire pitIt's pretty heavy duty, unlike some of the cheap ones I looked at from our local big box stores.It was easy to assembleCame with a center log holderOnce it was together it was larger than I thought but it's pretty solid and thick.So far, it's doing great and no rust but I'll update my review if things should change.
