Couldn't have applied the film to the window without it
Yeah get this if you intend to put that window film up on anything. However. The xacto blade sucks. Get one of those cheapo sliding blades that you can crack a centemeter off whenever the blade starts to dull -- because a sharp blade is going to be one of the keys to getting it on so it looks good AND the blade dulls almost instantly. So if you insist on doing it with the blade in the kit, make sure you have at least half a dozen spare blades. That was for ONE regular window. When I did the sliding glass door I ended up using about half of one of the break-away razer knives. The squeegee good tho. It's a good size for my hand and the edge was crisp enough it could tuck the ends down neatly against the frames.

Works as it should. used on film for headlights.
This worked fine. I would not hesitate to recommend or bother looking elsewhere. I used this to put a clear film on two sets of headlights that I had polished to take off the yellow haze. I hadn't used vinyl film before, but this product was well priced. And it worked fine. both card/squeegee's have a good frel to them. They are different thicknesses, one somewhat harder (still flexible) for "main" use and the softer one for sharper curves. I did not use the X-Acto knife because I already have one but nice that they included one.

Most important to know, this kit is all you need.
I had all the tools necessary to install window tint. But I decided to not take a chance and purchase this kit. Well, it worded out just fine. Didn't use any of my tools only the the the new kit and thank goodness I did. This kit is all you need to do a first class job with no additional tools needed.

Perfect for my needs
Perfect little kit for my needs. I'm applying tint to car headlights and tail lights with lots of curves. The xacto knife even came with extra blades! Just what I needed.

Helped me black out my chrome
Helped me black out my chrome on my vehicle. The long micro squeegee is the most useful tool in the kit. They should include more of those long micro squeeges. Try cutting the wrap more with plastic tools rather than a sharp blade. The felt is not durable and will come off when you use a heat gun or dryer. The kit is very useful.

Good Starter Tool Kit
Used this kit for a taillight tint job and overall it got the job done—but there are a few things worth mentioning. The large squeegee was great for most of the install, but the felt edge is a little thin and weak. I actually ended up scratching through the protective film on top of the tint, which luckily saved the vinyl underneath. Definitely does its job, just be careful with pressure. The small squeegee was good in tight spots—I didn’t use it much, but it’s nice to have on hand. The X-Acto blade was just okay. It didn’t slice as cleanly through the vinyl as I hoped, so I’d probably recommend swapping in a sharper blade if you want precision cuts. Surprisingly, the tuck tool was awesome—really helped with finishing edges and tucking film into tight creases without damaging anything. Probably the MVP of the kit. Overall? Great budget set for learning the process. Just keep an eye on that felt squeegee and maybe upgrade the blade for a cleaner experience.
