Magformers Vehicle Power Construction Set (47-pieces)

Magformers are pricey, but very worth the money! My kids (ages 3-10 yrs) play with these almost every day! My boys especially love this construction set & build all kinds of trucks & tractors! I love that they have endless possibilities for creativity & imaginative play and are a great educational toy. We have had them for about 6 months and they are holding up well to almost daily use. They are very durable and I expect them to last for many years!

My 2 grandsons (2 and 5) just love that their "GiGi and PaPa" have the same "toys" like at their daycare :)this is the best toy to buy and worth every penny!!!We use it at the Elementary school I work for :)

My son received these as a gift about three months ago, and he's used them nearly every day. At 4 1/2 years old, they're just perfect for him. Hours of quiet play time where he can use his creativity and make something purely from imagination, or he can follow the directions in the small guides to create a construction truck. Super fun activity, and helps with small motor skills!

This is THE favorite toy in our household. We purchased them for our grandson who is only 3. He will play with them for hours. No joke, no exaggeration. 3 years old and one toy will keep him excited for that long. That's worth the money right there. It is also the first toy that our friends children ask to play with. Usually before getting all the way in the door! And don't discount the adults either, they are right there on the floor with the kids taking away pieces from the little ones cause they need one more square to make something cool.Having said all that, here's my reason for only 4 stars instead of 5. In my opinion they are overpriced for the quality of the product. The magnets need to be stronger as it is pretty easy to crush your creation before you're done (or after) and you don't get enough pieces for the price either. In spite of the downside, we have 2 sets and they are in constant use.

My kids love to build with Magformers and so do all their friends. We like this set but reccomend one Magformers 30 piece set to start.

We bought this set to expand the emergency cruisers set. We were disappointed that the inner square of these pieces is NOT compatible. The inner square of the construction set is larger (annoyingly, so the pieces 'almost' fit), and thus all the construction pieces that fit inside ONLY fit into the pieces from this set.I emailed Magformers. There response: <Tough, you should have known better.>Unfortunately, my son has 'bonded' with the crane piece, so I can't return it. But, I can warn others to simply ::STAY AWAY FROM THIS SET.I include the customer service response:"Hello ***,The XL Sets are made from a different die set from the rest of our sets. They are thinner. We apologize that you were not aware of this before you bought the newer set. We love megaformers ! We have the shape kit and our son loves it. We bough this one and I would not recommend it. It doesn't work well, parts are to heavy to lift. stick to the shapes and you'll love it.

The Magformers Power Construction Set is well made and well packaged. However, I was disappointed the packaging and box is not designed for a long term storage solution for the various shaped pieces contained in the Magformers Power Construction Set.. Had a permanent storage solution for the pieces been offered or included; I would have considered purchasing the 400 piece Expert Set of Magformers simply because of our young family member's strong interest in problem solving, design and construction. Not offering or including a sturdy permanent storage solution for Magformers (or any construction set) compares to constructing a building and forgetting about the footings! The idea, design and quality of this educational product deserve 5 stars. The inability to "think outside of the box" by offering a well planned permanent storage solution for their Magformers product line rates 1 star.
