Worked really well for my application
The anchors were priced far better than most. I didn't need this many but new I would have uses in the future so I wanted some around. I have very compacted soil and it is incredibly rocky. I know nothing would go in so I gave it some help. I have a solid iron rod about 48" long and 3/4" diameter. One end is ground to a rounded point. I used this to drive in with a small sledge hammer to make a pilot hole. I then used the rod that came with it to drive the anchors to the bottom of the hole. I found it a little difficult to pull the drive rod back out because it would not easily come out of the anchor at the bottom. A few twists and turns were needed. After having difficulty getting them to take hold I found that driving them in just a bit further with my iron rod helped the tip to go off to one side so it would bite easier and not just pull back up the hole. I put in four like this to hold down a 10'x22' canopy/carport. They are in to stay and it will take my truck to ever get them out if I ever need to. I highly recommend these to anyone that is wanting to hold something down really well. I can't vouch for soft soil or sand but in this hard rocky ground they are really holding well and we get a lot of wind where I am. If you do have soft or sandy soil upgrade to the bigger anchor.

Works!!!
These work great! Our horses kept kicking their food bowls everywhere. These kept them in place. Would recommend if you need something to stay put in the ground

Come back out when removal of the insert tool
Great idea in theory, but they do go in very easy THEN COME RIGHT OUT WITH THE INSERT TOOL. After many attempts just a cpl of wraps of masking tape top and bottom with anchor on side of pounding post, hit to wanted depth and then turn the end with visegrips and pull. Work great now. Just bad design.

Waste of money.
Instructions for this product are non existent. I followed what little they gave and could barely get ONE anchor into the ground. When I went to pull the rod up, it wouldn't come out. It took 20 minutes of dirt loosening to get the rod up only to see that it bent ALOT in the whole process and was useless. So I basically only get to use one anchor because the rod that was supposed to put all 6 into the ground is useless after putting one into the ground and I have no way to put the others where I need them. You're better off going with something else. This is a waste of money.

Great product
Great product, easy to use, awesome for holding items to the ground that you don’t want the wind to blow away like trampolines, portable garages, etc.

Drive it in, hold it down
I was very pleased with this product. The anchors are well made and easy to drive with the included driver. Holding power of course depends on your soil.

Cheap attempt at a duckbill
So I have deployed a lot of duckbill anchors in my career and they are not cheap. So this is a cheap-man's version but they are not duckbills. Because of their design these travel up the hole more than duckbills do before the anchor turns and engages. Also, getting the driver out (which is just threaded rod with a nut on it) of the anchor is much more difficult. Instead of driving the anchor into the ground from the bottom of the anchor, these are driven from the back of the anchor and because of that, the back of anchor has to be flat and therefore doesn't grab and twist as easily as a duckbill. If you can deal with a shallower anchor and money is an issue these will do.
