A quality bag that is a great value, lifetime warranty.
This TNH sleeping bag rocks! I used it recently on a car camping trip and this is what I found. First, this bag is a great value. Fit and finish is very good, the materials are great, the outside is water resistant, and the inside is soft and comfy. How does it perform? Very good! I like being warm when I sleep, so I did an experiment. I started the evening in a competitors bag that is rated to 20 degrees F. From past experience, I know the competitor’s bag is really only good to 40F, and that is with a nice warm layer of clothes. The first evening, I knew that temps were forecasted to drop from 60F, down to 42F. Sure enough about 2am, the temp hit about 48 and I woke up cold. I quickly got out of the competitor’s bag, unrolled the TNH bag, got in it and zipped it up. No fluffing, just straight from the stuff sack to me being zipped up. Within 3 minutes, I was warm, and within 5, I was toasty. The temp continued down to 40, and when I woke up, I was warm and comfy. I was only sleeping in a t-shirt and shorts, and I am convinced by how warm I was that this bag is good for temperatures much colder. I would estimate down to 32F/0-C, and colder with a good base layer. The fit is good, remember that this is a mummy shaped bag and is designed to hug your body to minimize cold spots and reduced the volume of air inside your bag. I’m 5’8” and 230 with broad shoulders and I fit just fine, with plenty of extra leg room. The zippers work well, mostly snag free and the hood and drawstring are also very good. There is a full length zipper draft tube (inside cover) and a chest draft tube as well.My only complaint is that there are no pull tabs on the zippers, so I used some of TNH’s new glow-in-the-dark, reflective cord to make my own, and it worked well. I could find them at night, so easy with my headlamp lighting up the reflective strips or even in the dark when I picked up the glow of the cord. What this bag is: A great value for a very warm, high quality bag. Competes well against bags costing twice as much. Perfect for car camping, family tent camping, hunting, or even backpacking where you are going a short distance and weight and bulk is not a concern. I would even consider strapping it to my motorcycle for cooler weather camping. This bag is an especially good value because TNH stands behinds their products with a lifetime warranty! What it is not: A super light-weight backpackers bag. You have to spend about $200 or more to get into the weight and size range that serious backpackers require. If this isn’t you, then this bag just might be perfect for you. It isn’t a tiny down bag either, but it sized well for the temperature rating and the fact that it is synthetic.Weight with stuff sack: 59.6 oz, or 3 lbs, 11.6 oz, or 1.69 kg.Disclaimer. I was provided this bag at a discount. I am an active camper and outdoor enthusiast, and own about 10 different sleeping bags, ranging from REI, military, Mountain Hardware, and other name brands. My review is honest and you can feel free to contact me with questions.

Works Well. Comfy Bag. Worth getting
Just got our newest TNH blue rectangular sleeping bag yesterday.Slept in the backyard last night in our TNH tent without rainfly.Shinny weather proofing material has a cool super hero look. Haven't poured water on it to see how well weather proofing works. Will provide updated review once we can hit the trails with elements. One minor issue In case it does get wet or washed, this model does not have the 2 end straps to use to hang up the bag. Not sure why these were left out. But would be useful to add back on. Not a problem that would take away a rating.Super roomy to move.Toasty warm on top of our TNH blue premium pad. Used a TNH liner with Nighttime low around 50 F.Delightful sleep.Liked the top hood. Great option to tuck TNH pillow inside.Zipper works. Goes up and down easily.Light and small enough to take on a car camping trip and probably most backpacking trip.Unless you are trekking to the top ofMt. Everest, this bag will work well for most Scouts trip and summer camp experience. It's not the lightest or smallest packed bag but for the incredible price and added comfort, this is a no brainier to own. With 3 Scouts in our household we have transitioned to all TNH gear. Just makes sense to avoid the high priced brand names and use an affordable brand-name when both have almost identical features. We have been very pleased with all our TNH gear.Great work Rich and Che for making wonderful products for anyone to afford and venture out on the trails. Keep up the good work.

Good bargain, great option for the occasional backpacker
Just got mine in and my initial impression is that this thing will be WARM. The outer shell is nylon, and more substantial than anything I've seen. This is interesting to me, and makes me think it will provide superior water repellency as well as insulation. The inner lining is soft polyester, but not so soft that it will stick to sweaty, grimy hiker skin. The fill doesn't provide significant loft, but being a synthetic bag with a hard nylon shell, it wont need it... in my 60 degree basement, I was sweating inside this bag within seconds.I have two critiques: The zipper, it snags easily when zipping from the inside and feels as though it could fail if tugged just a little too hard. And the baffles, or lack thereof, will eventually lead to migration of the insulation. The stitching on the outside of the bag make it appear to have real baffles, but on closer inspection there are none to be found. In conclusion, this bag is substantial. Absolutely 3 season, and with a liner certainly a 4 season. The compression sack it comes with is well designed with the synch webbing over the top to keep the bag from popping out when compressing. Soft, cozy inner polyester shell with a hard nylon outer shell and just enough synthetic fill in between to keep you sheltered.
