Like the recipes!
I made the Sweet Potato and Quinoa Patties with Green Tahini and Lime Dressing for the Cook the Book club at my local library. It was vegan/vegetarian recipes this month, and this was one of the books selected from which to choose a recipe. As the primary cook for a serious meat-eating family, I was not expecting much. What a surprise! The combination of ingredients was unique and the final product tasted wonderful! The recipe was well written and easy to follow, unlike recipes from other cookbooks I have read that have glaring errors and cannot produce the intended result. The only substitution I made was cayenne from my spice cabinet instead of a fresh cayenne pepper, which I was unable to find. Even my carnivore husband enjoyed this vegan recipe. I decided to purchase the book so I can keep cooking from it because there are many more recipes in the book that I want to try.

Finally, a book that teaches instead of preaches.
The thing about healthy cookbooks is that I often feel judged the minute I open one. I am made to recognise all the bad choices I am making and forced to acknowledge that this author is doing everything so much better than I am. Then the food tastes bland. But that's my fault because I've trained myself to love burgers and chocolate. This book is not that. The recipes are delicious and easy to follow. There's a good balance of meals that contain ingredients that you can find in your local supermarket and meals that require some effort, so that you can't use a lack of groceries at an excuse for getting takeout. And the entire time of the book is cheerful and honest. Acknowledging how hard that first step into healthy eating can be and simply sharing how she made that change.I've already bought a copy for my coeliac, lactose-intolerant mother and she loves it too.

Arrived in good condition.
I am always most impressed with book purchases if the item is well packaged & arrives without any damage. I am enjoying the recipes as well.

It would be far better to purchase the print version
I find that the book is difficult to read as a kindle version. It would be far better to purchase the print version.
