Definite Upgrade
The lights really complete the look. Easy to install but requires some dexterity. I partially installed them as I built Starr Night. Iโm very pleased with this product.

Read the PDF and check the components BEFORE installingโฆ
I chose the follow the pdf instead of the video. It was very easy to follow. Also, it tells you to check each individual component to make sure it is functioning prior to starting to install it. The company admits that the components are custom made and somewhat fragile. They state in the instructions that if a component does not work to contact them. I wanted to explain this because of the negative reviews saying they installed it and parts didnโt light up. Installation was time consuming and required much patience, but well worth it and completely doable. This is my first big Lego build and my first time installing a light kit. My husband would also point out that I know NOTHING about computers/electronics/circuits, but it did not impact my ability to complete this project. I was proud of myself for completing it 100% without additional help. The end result is GORGEOUS! It really brings the picture to life. I also love being able to use the remote control to change the brightness.

Worth the effort
A pain to install but well worth the reactions of visitors. This lighting set doesnโt hide as well as others like the Balrog kit but it does shine so well and illuminates the set beautifully. I have received multiple positive comments from visitors.

The night is much more alive and richly colored than the day!
Assembled The Starry Night first and skipped over building the frame until last. For the BrickBling Light Kit I chose to use the installation video rather than the PDF and followed step by step, paused for each component, and made sure all the gold wires in connectors matched up. The instructions are very thorough and well done! It was not difficult to remove pieces or lift areas to thread wires to the back. Installed correctly the wires do not show when completed. The "sticky" foam squares do not work well at all...I just didn't use them in some areas and wires are not going to move since threaded through bricks or to the back. A change I made was to thread the power USB wire through the back when I put the frame on so it wouldn't show over the frame in the front. I absolutely love the lights and ability to change settings with the remote! Overall, I highly recommend this light kit to enhance The Starry Night!

Parts damage
The control motherboard is simply broken. Only one of the slots is working properly. The rest can't light up at all after many attempts. The second thing is the terrible stickers. They can't stick to the light strip at all. Now I can only use batteries to power it and can't use the remote control. It's really bad.

Brickbling Starry Night Light Kit
The bright light kit is a nice addition to our Lego Starry Night. It was pretty easy to install with a little patience. The remote control works great. I would recommend buying this light kit.

Looks good; needs refinement...
I'll start off by saying this looks really nice all lit up. With the exception of the lighting behind the wind, the placement is good. I installed this during a fresh build. The kit comes with a link to a website where you enter the kit code, and get links to a video and PDF. I didn't use the video. The PDF needs some work. The instructions weren't terrible, but the pictures made it hard to determine where on the model I was supposed to route the cables. I also wish they had directions on installing the lights on a fresh build, in addition to the instructions on installing it on an existing one. I did take liberties with light placement, one of the parts, and wiring and module placement. Installation wasn't too bad. The sticky pads it comes with do not adhere to the LED lights very well, even after rubbing the Lego pieces with alcohol. They'll likely come loose after a while. I also think the pads were too thick. I may take the kit apart again and use some hot glue instead. The lights were all appropriately sized, including the LED light strip. I decided to install the light strip that runs behind the wind, on the actual wind piece itself to get a better glow. However, after seeing everything lit up, I think it'd work better behind the hills and mountains. I also wish the stars all had the glowing dot, instead of just the two, it would give it a bit more character I think. Wire routing is a bit of a mess. I did end up changing the routing for some of the lights. The ones I didn't had wires that were to short. I also wish all the wires were black (not just the extension ones). The red on the red and black ones sticks out like a sore thumb. I may paint them later. I really appreciate that it comes with a USB plug, I plan on plugging it into a battery bank for longevity. The remote is also pretty nice; I like that it's RF. In all, it's a well-priced kit; I recommend getting it. Hopefully, I can get years of enjoyment out of it.

Tedious to assemble but looks great overall!
Installation was a bit tedious but outcome looks great. Adhesive could be stronger. Remote control has 3 settings for brightness: low, medium, and high. The video instructions was easier to follow than the PDF instructions.
