Super Functional, Uninterrupted bladder release and best alternative to Cone
The best $30 spent on my dog. I bought this suit as an alternative to the Cone for my 1 year old Shih tzu who got spayed. Thank you for this super functional and brilliant alternative to the Cone.I purchased the small size and it fit perfectly. The fabric is cotton like and very soft. Molly( Shih tzu) was already in pain post surgery and I couldn't exasperate it by adding a cone and making the experience even more miserable. This suit is a brilliant idea and super functional. It was a bit difficult to put in on her with all that pain but once we got past that, she was able to walk around, eat and sleep peacefully. The ties are very comfortable and I check on them everyday to ensure they are just snug enough and not too tight. It is day 5 now and she hasn't had any problems so far. I believe the fabric is soft enough that she hasn't tried to pull it off of her.She didn't release her bladder initially as she was concerned that the suit would be soiled but when she realized that it did not come in the way, she could pee and poop with no problems at all.Haven't put it for wash yet so cannot comment on the after wash results. My girl has very short hair so the small fit perfectly but if your dog has a lot of hair, please go a size up. Better yet, order 2 sizes, that way, you don't have to wait until the perfect size arrives. In fact, it is so much better than the cone; the suit covers the lower half, protecting the incision and healing area, keeping it hygienic and safe. That itself should be reason enough to pick this over the cone. She can hang out with my other dog which makes so much more appealing if you have 2 dogs.I have received so may compliments on this suit especially when people know that this is not a dress but a great post surgical suit. Please do your dogs a favor by investing in this suit instead of the dreaded cone. It is well worth the money and peace of mind. The best part is that I can use this suit as an outfit as well. So glad I made this purchase. Good luck with your pets recovery.

Great surgical gown
I bought this when my puppy was spayed. Soft cotton fabric, perfect fit (5 lbs, small). She never tried to take it off but I double knotted the ties just in case. No issues using the bathroom with it on. Never needed to use her “cone of shame” thankfully. Highly recommend.

Seriously disappointed
My dog got neutered and I thought this would be a more comfortable option than the cone for my fur baby since he loves to snuggle and use his head to show love. I was left very disappointed with this for a couple reasons:1. Although I got the right size (based on their measurements indicated in the post.... AND I re measured to make sure I didn't goof up along the way of ordering), when I put the thing on my dog the correct way as described in the instructions, my dogs incision was still exposed and readily available to lick. I had to flip it the opposite way just for it to cover his incision while making the fit of the item very awkward and uncomfortable for my pup to wear.2. The strings to tie it unraveled like, immediately. This would have been better with clips or Velcro to close it. With those alternatives, the straps could be just as adjustable as with the strings but would likely hold better. Also, I already have an irritable dog because his manhood just got cut off, do you really think he will sit to let me tie every single one of those together so that they will stay????And I still had to go get a cone for my pup because my pup chewed the thing off rendering it useless. Yes, that one is my pup's fault but maybe if the thing hadn't been so darn uncomfortable for him, he wouldn't have felt the need to do that.

Nice product, way better for my pup than a cone!!!!!
Purchased a pink one for my 20 lb female beagle puppy. I have another dog at home that my puppy is obsessed with and we were afraid she could hurt the other dog or herself with a cone. Opted to try this gown first. Today is her first day back home (got spayed yesterday) and so far so good with the gown. It was a little difficult to get this on my puppy by myself, would suggest having a helper to anyone else that will be using one. I put it on wrong at first, no instructions or markings to tell you which way goes towards front and rear (tag in front, slight elastic towards rear). While napping she was somewhat getting out of the legs, tightened it up and it seems to be better. I was afraid she would urinate on the gown, deceiving how it looks but really worked!! She has peed 3 times and not a drop on the material 😀. For those looking for an alternative to the cone of shame I would recommend this gown. It's really lightweight, my puppy doesn't even like to wear her harness hasn't minded or even noticed this is on! Material is fine, suits the need. I washed it before use on gentle and let it air dry. Didn't use the mini maxi pad that came with it, didn't feel a random pad was very sanitary. I would rate this at 4 stars.

It worked and could be better
We spayed our 2 yo Labrador and used this to help keep her from messing with the stitches. We had a cone too, but we knew her personality was going to resist the constraints of the cone. This was a good option and it did work for the most part. The fit was slightly small.. she is 78 pounds and in good condition (not overweight). I felt it would have worked better if the material had a little spandex in it and was quilted on the area meant to cover the wound. The straps (strings) are insufficient though. It was difficult to tie them so they would stay on at the back. You definitely need to cross them and maybe tie off to the middle section. The knot up easily and may be better if they were thicker and had Velcro on them. Out strings broke off after a few days. If you are going to wash it, make sure to put it a delicates mesh bag or suffer the strings. Our female was able to pee/poop with it on. She also figured out how to get it off so don't get too comfortable and not watch them! Overall it worked and I would certainly recommend it as an added protection.

Would reorder if needed. Good price, quality, and design!
Came on time. This is very nice and seems well made. I'm glad someone has made something like this as other options out there for cats aren't the best or aren't accessible or are too pricey . I did not put this on my kitten though as it is too big - a bit to long length wise and bit too wide at the chest (ordered small as she's a long, slim, 5.25 pound Balinese kitten) size xs probably would have been better. She squirmed too much every attempt to meassure her so that part is my own issue. I hope we don't end up needing to use one but if we do this would be my choice again without a doubt. In the photo, I haven't completely unfolded the outfit on the back end which is on the right side of the picture and the entire piece remains folded in half so the belly is at the bottom of the pic and back tie up side is at the top of the pic, also those are the ties resting in the middle from the top, the leg cuffs seem nice. Pretty impressed.

Works great!
This onesie does exactly what we need it to! My puppy was terrified having the cone on her head after her surgery so I am very grateful for this alternative. It came super quickly and fits her perfectly. I highly recommend using the size chart. My dog is a greyhound/great Dane mix of some sort and is very thin but has a super long torso so under the discretion of the size chart, I sized up to an XL based on the length rather than the weight. My dog seems comfortable in it and she is able to wear it while she goes to the bathroom - I checked the rear fabric afterwards to make sure it was still clean and wasn’t soiled in anyway. Can’t speak on the longevity/durability of the fabric just yet because we only got it today, but the quality seems like it would only last for one dog post-surgery for a couple weeks (i.e wouldn’t withstand being used as a hammy-down for another dog to wear after their surgery).

Great product, but too many strings
This product is a great because it is like a hospital gown for dogs. I bought it for my puppy's neuter surgery. He's a 10 month old Boxer (He's 62 lbs, I bought him the green gown in XXL). So far, it has prevented him from licking and scratching his stitches. My only complaint is that there are many strings to tie and sometimes they slip down his back and the gown begins to slip off. Criss-crossing the strings definitely helps, but the gown still tends to slip. It would have been much easier if the gown was secured using long pieces of Velcro.

Great idea!
I got this for my Great Pyrenees x Newfie for when he got neutered. What a great investment. There was no massive lamp shade cone to worry about and he was way more comfortable. It was easy to put on him and easy to flip up when he had to go out. I had quite a few people comment on it. I wanted to give it 5 stars but when I washed it every single one of the tie strings began to unravel.I don’t know if it could hold up to any more washes without the ties being sewn on the ends. I was a little shocked. That being said I still think it’s worth it.Ignore my pups face in the picture he agrees it’s better than a cone.

Thumbs up
Used these on my dog after she was spayed. Kept her and our other dog from licking her stitches. Lots of strings to tie up but we left it on her all day and only untied the rear two before she went outside to do her duties. It did the trick.
