Naked Forex: High-Probability Techniques for Trading Without Indicators (Wiley Trading)

I can’t express the amount of rich information and simplistic but profound steps mentioned within 260 pages. It has been a total paradigm shift for market analysis. Simple and efficient is the key to success. Highly recommend this read to anyone either looking to get into trading or anyone who is struggling in the process to finding consistent profits.

This book really clicked with me. I was missing something in my trading and I firmly believe this book is going to help "gel" everything together. I love the stripped down approach to trading presented. No BS indicators that predict where the market is going. Technical analysis in its raw form is presented here and it works. There is also the meditation aspect that I was interested in that was covered in the book, but more so the additional content that comes with the book is where Walter gets more into that sort of thing. This book gives a few strategies and some helpful hints how to follow them and what to look for. Honestly if you put in the work you will succeed as a trader. Walter goes over some key points and goals to set that make sense and will definitely help to improve my trading and trading mindset. The book doesn't go into too much detail about the background info of the market, but Walter actually sent me a free e-book that I think goes over that. If you know some basics about the market and are ready to get serious about trading and need that little push in the right direction you need to get this book. It's a bit more expensive than other FX books but honestly in my opinion it's worth the extra money. Especially with the extras that come with the book. Best $50 I've spent in a long time! The amount of information about trading freely available online these days can be overwhelming. I have read quite a few books on Candlesticks, Western indicators such as Bollinger bands, RSI, CCI, Stochastic et. al. I was introduced to fxjake by a UK Forex trader - Richard Hill. I came across "Naked Forex" from [...]. I purchased the Kindle version of this book from Amazon and have thus far read it twice and will re-read it again until I become proficient in some of the powerful trading systems discussed in the book - I'm curreently focusing on the "Kangaroo tail" and "Big Shadow" trade set ups. Folks, over reliance on Western indicators (laggard indicators as we all know them) to predict trends or identify high probability trades are sheer waste of time. I have ditch out all indicators, and now look at actual market price actions. Naked Forex continues to teach me the best way to improve my trading - identify high probability trade set ups, back test and forward test the "heck" out of my ideas using Forex Tester. I highly recommend this book to all newbies (like myself), and I strongly believe experienced traders will also learn from the book.

Well, when we want to write a review we must go into the details and mention the technical points of the book and its pros and cons specifically: I have read some of the reviews. Some argued that the stuffs in the book is easy to find all over the internet, like kangaroo tails are hammers and shooting stars, big shadows are classic engulfing patterns and so on. That's right; but as a trader who just found his way into decent profiting after struggling for 5 years I must say that one mistake many make is they tend to brag about their system: fancy indicators on the charts, ellliot waves theory and so on.. But at the end of the day the goal is just to make money and what I found during these years is that the best way to make money is sticking to price action, support and resistance and trading higher time frames (H4 at least). Even the experienced traders can learn one or two good insights from the book that although they seem nothing special they are very helpful in filtering the bad trades for them, and also psychology part is very straightforward and practical. In summery here are the positive and negative points of the book in my view: Positive Points: 1. This book is straight to the point and practical and very easy and fun to read. 2. The focus on candlesticks and price action (most of the refined classic setups mentioned there are great) for a novice trader instead for indicators is priceless. 3. The psychology part is also very direct and practical specially the pressure the author put on back testing (He even says back test my ideas first). 4. Author insisted that trading higher time frames are easier and more profitable to trade an that's 100 percent true. Negative Points: 1. I don't agree with last kiss setup and wammies and moolahs (I think they are not as strong as the other setups because the focus is more on the zones instead of candlesticks in these two setups). 2. Author must mentioned the use of multiple time frame analysis in the setups for completing his ideas. 3. He must mentioned the importance of some news like NFP that may destroy technical setup in a part. I think everyone must read this book but for novice traders it would be a great shortcut to profitable trading.

While requiring a basic understanding of trading to understand and apply its contents, the Naked Forex book is an amazingly helpful book for profitable trading and mindset. With a clear and uncomplicated writing style, the authors go a long way -- with relevant examples -- to assist retail traders in upping their game for high strike rates and above-average rewards. An essential read for all wishing to hone their trading skills!

This book is not worth its price, basic things to follow named trading. Worst decision on a book.

Yes a very good book. A must read for any aspiring trader. My other tip is if you get the ebook version you can read on a smart phone and highlight stuff. Then use the highlight menu to look back on information which is handy for technical books when you want to go over things.

Un libro essenziale per ogni trader. Scritto in un inglese più che fruibile, necessita di un po' di conoscenze tecniche per essere compreso e illustra concetti miliari per il trading. Non lo consiglio a chi si affaccia sul mondo del trading per la prima volta, ma è perfetto per i trader principianti. I trader esperti lo hanno già :).
