Fast Curing Epoxy Resin, 20OZ/600ML 4H Demold Epoxy Resin Kit -Crystal Clear, Bubble-Free, Not-Yellowing, Self-Leveling for Art Resina, Jewelry, Craft, Fast Casting & Easy Mix Epoxy Resina

This is the second brand of fast cure resin I have tried. This one is my preferred choice of the two. You also get a silicone stir stick as a nice little extra included. This JDiction fast cure resin has virtually no odour to it. It is thicker than regular two part epoxy but so was the other fast cure resin i tried, it's just how the fast cure resins are. This can mean that it can be more prone to bubbles than regular epoxy but the instruction booklet provides tips on how to deal with this including warming the two parts separately for a few minutes before mixing and I can say this does work well. Having said that the bubbles do rise and pop fairly well by themselves, especially on thinner pours, certainly better than the other brand I tried. I've only been doing resin a few months anyway so getting perfectly bubble free is still a work in progress for me. This resin also takes colours and dyes such as mica powder well. As far as demoulding times go, I'm happy with this resin. The four hour demould time may not always be true for thinner pours, especially if there's a lot of pigment added or the room temperature is slightly cooler than ideal, but it's still a lot quicker than standard epoxy so I'm good with that. On a deeper pour in ideal conditions I can sometimes demould in less than four hours so the demould time will be dependant on the variables at the time. Work time is a bit short. If I'm doing multiple small pours and taking time with adding decorations I can sometimes find that I'm rushing towards the end because the resin is beginning to thicken and become harder to work with so it's best to make sure you're organised and have everything you need for your project out in front if you ready to go so you don't waste any time. Once cured though, it really does have a lovely high gloss finish that I really love. Overall I do really like this resin, in fact this JDiction resin will be my first choice for fast cure resin going forward.

Very cost effective. The resin takes around 8hrs to harden. Very nice and clear resin. In the picture i used it to repair a piece for a friend. As you can see, it repaired it very nicely and gave the piece a glossy shine. It also self levels and mostly bubble free. I do blast it with a lighter which helps! Recommend !

I've been using this resin for about a week now (usually using the deep pour or regular resin) and haven't had a single item be able to be demolded in my experience, granted I am using molds with a bit of depth to them like trays, ornaments and coasters however, even after 6+ hours, I find that the resin is still sticky and the product cannot be demolded and is not fully cured until 12ish hours compared to the 8-10 advertised The resin seems very thick when mixing, my stirrer wouldn't even spin, I tried putting it up a setting and it turned itself off to not overwork itself, I've been heating it up on the radiator first for about 15-20 mins and then still having to mix by hand. Even with that, I find that the resin is starting to cure quickly during the art process like adding colours and glitter making it sticky, gloopy and hard to move/squidge in the molds but then stays in that state for a very long time, not fully curing. The products always do turn out great though as usual with JDiction, no bubbles, nice gloss, just wish it was a bit faster as I ordered this to handle several projects in the same day as well as itching the demolding scratch

Lives up to the hype. Although more expensive than other epoxy resin, I would expect to pay more for a premium product. Really does demold in 4 hours depending on the size of the piece. Will certainly buy again.

Alright so I was skeptical on the whole 4H demold time and full set within 12 hours. But hey if I can make more stuff then I currently so with standard resin I had to give it a try. First of all the texture is thicker than standard and I'm told this is normal so I'm not worrying about it. Mixing wasn't too bad, there was bubbles but after heating with gun and using a cocktail stick to pop any of the bigger bubbles it was all good. There's mixed reviews on actually demolding after 4 hours so I did a test using 3 different sized moulds. Wait is it Mold or Mould? The smallest, cat head, took 4 hours to cure and was successfully removed. Next was the paw which wasn't that much bigger then the cat head however after 4 hours it was still tacky so left it and successfully removed it from it's mould after 6 hours. Finally the Turtle is the biggest of the 3 and it took 10 hours before I could remove it. I have now cast a Mermaid Tail using this resin, it's wider and longer then the other moulds and will test how long it takes before I can remove it (and edit the post to confirm). With normal resin it takes about 14 hours to demold (can be done at 12 hours however I found I left finger prints on parts of the tail so leave it 14 hours) as well as a bear mould which is about 2" tall and 1" wide, again I will update once completed. **please note the other background resin crafts were made with standard resin** Overall, the amount you get for the price is very good, the smaller the project the less time it takes to cure. I shall continue testing however and will edit this post as I go. **EDIT** I now don't use any other resin other then this. I went back to my normal resin and hated it. The more I used it the more I found I couldn't go back to my previous resin brand. It just didn't compare, not in the demolding time but in the quality. It's definitely a 5 out of 5 now I've used it more.

Nice resin, bubbles free, relatively fast curing, slightly thicker than other brands which makes it great doming product, but there’s no way it comes as 1.9l. I had 3 paintings I wanted to coat in resin, measured 600ml for the first two, and there was only 400ml left for the last one. And yes I got all of it out! Work done with precise measuring, and you can imagine my disappointment when I learned that I don’t actually have enough resin to finish the last picture, and for that reason you only get 2 stars. ****** Since I wrote this review, the customer service got in touch and offered to rectify this issue by sending a free 600ml product. The resin arrived quickly, and I decided to give it another go on that last large canvas. I am very pleased with the results and I can definitely recommend this product for large canvas coating! I’ve tried several brands before, and some were better than others, but I was never a 100% satisfied with the final look. It was either down to too many bubbles and small artifacts, or some weird swells and fish eyes forming, or even the load lines that for some reason didn’t level. This is probably my favourite resin by far for coating large pieces of art. Not much efforts needed during the process and you can pretty much get it all done in one go. I am changing the rating to 5*.

I use JDiction's 2x/3x UV resist resin and I love it, great results. But this one? Can't say I was overly impressed. I did a video review showing my process as I try this resin for a 4 hour demould. I used a 1cm deep mould (it states in the booklet this will take 4 hours to demould) and then a 1.+ cm deep mould. I couldn't demould either after 4 hours, I tried pulling the mould edges away from the resin but it was like stretching treacle, and I've no doubt it would have torn the resin in the middle if I'd tried more. I thought it was user error so that's when I tried the second mould which was a tad bit deeper, but same results. And, for some reason, this resin didn't adhere to the mica powder I'd brushed into the mould beforehand. I had a comparison cast with the same mica powder/mould with JDiction's normal resin from January to show there was no issue with either the powder or the mould. But this resin came out patchy and left a lot of the powder in the mould. I'm still not sure why. I'm going to try a much deeper mould when I can, but it shouldn't matter. I also want to say the room in which I craft is not cold, the air temp was around 20/21 degrees c when I used this resin, but it's very possible there are other factors that affected my cast. I also timed myself mixing so I was certain it wasn't an undermixed issue. And as for the bubbles, yes it does state in the booklet it's more viscous and therefore creates more bubbles. It suggests warming the resin and this does help a little - however I found that the volume you use affects the amount of bubbles - mix a larger amount and you create less. I mixed only about 20ml and 40ml my first time and it created a lot of bubbles. Third time I mixed over 100ml and there was less. Also pour down the sides to try and create less disturbance bubbles. Leave it about 15 minutes after mixing and see if that helps. I also use a wax melter to warm it for about 5 minutes to help bring some of the tiny bubbles up. I bought the 600ml/60oz when it was £17.00, so I can't deny the price for this product was fair, and if there was some user error in my results then I would say this resin is good for beginners.
