Amazon always has what I need, these disc are very good, does what it advertises to do. Works great on my camera. Couldn't find locally, like so many other electronic items so I always go to Amazon. They always have what I need. Thanks

For the past several years that I have been using my videocam with TDK mini DVD as my storage partner, it never failed me. Sure enough that Sony videocam encourages to use Sony hardwares yet, it is just too pricey for frequent usage. And by far, TDK has been a reliable family companion since I started purchasing it from Amazon. Good deal for the price.

3 disc's was not working

I own a Panasonic DVD CamCorder that makes movies on a Mini DVD-R (1.4 GB). I have been using Sony Mini DVDs for a couple of years now (since the CamCorder was new). They worked fine but cost around $3.50 each at Best Buy in a jeweled case. These TDK disks cost $8.99 for 20 at Amazon. That's 45 cents per disk! I did not see any bad reviews on these so decided I'd gamble and try them. I'm now in the middle of taking my first movie with a TDK disk and have been nothing but pleased. So far, I don't see ANY difference between these and the expensive Sony disks I've been using. When I inserted the blank disk into the Camcorder, it was initialized just as expected. I've taken abour 8 minutes of the 30 minute movie. Today I watched that 8 minutes on my TV and was very pleased. I highly recommend these disks as an alternative to expensive name brand (Sony) mini disks for anyone who uses a CamCorder to record movies directly to Mini DVD-R media.

Altho the price per each is wonderful, I don't think I will re-buy these. A few of the disks have been defective and I didn't find out until my customers attempted to play back their videos. Not good for a fledgeling video business. I'd be better off spending more money upfront and retain happy customers than keeping my fingers crossed with a questionable product.

tooooo many of the discs unable to be formatted and actually mid way through being used were unreadable by the camera....

no problems whatsoever. I bought a 20 pack, and I must have used half of them. Would recommend. I also received my order in just a few days. Great service.

I have a couple of Sony mini DVD camcorders. I use them to video my son's hockey games for his coach. When you put in anything other than a Sony DVD it say "Sony DVD recommended". Nice marketing. Because I go through so many DVDs (I don't use DVD-RWs because the coach wants to keep the DVDs). I bought a few of these spindles. On the first spindle I threw away at least half the DVDs because I got a "Disc Error" message when the CamCorder tried to initialize the dics. You are not saving money if you can only use 50% of them. The Sony individual discs work great, but very pricy. I have found the indvidually packed Fuji or Memorex to work every time. This product may work ok for data, but don't bother for a CamCorder. I think the CamCorders are just more sensitive with the the real-time video recording and require a higher quality disc.
