Does it close perfectly with an iPad screen protector installed?

Yes I can confirm it does . I have one on mine. And it works perfectly. And closes and opens fine. No problem at all. There is No loss of touch either.

Where is an Apple Pencil stored in this case? Does anyone have a photo of the groove or showing the position of the pencil?

You can attach to the top of the iPad, the case is thin enough so can ignore the case.

Does it Have a mouse function so I can use it like a proper laptop?

You could add a bluetooth mouse or trackpad, but the Arteck doesn't come with either

Yes, you can. You can even detach the iPad and flip it around so that when it’s closed, you can still use the screen. It’s a really impressive case for the money.
