Play Dirt Bucket (3 Lb) - Unique Sand for Burying and Digging Fun by Sands Alive

My students loved playing with this “dirt.” I feel it was a much better alternative to real soil.

My son loved playing with dirt and this definitely made it easier. The only thing that I would say is that it is a little harder to clean. My son threw it all over the place and we ended up stepping on it and bringing it inside out house and it took a little longer to clean than usual. This is just user error, the dirt is definitely not meant to be thrown around. Other than that my son loves it and it's his favorite thing to play with. Overall we are very satisfied.

I can't say what the children I work with will think, but the first time I took this sand out of the bag I said "WOW". It feels so soft. It is really quite nice. I will definitely be ordering more for various projects. I just wish there were a few instructions on how to keep the texture nice.

My 2 year old son LOVES this stuff. He could drive his monster trucks in it for hours. We just use a large clear storage bin to store it and let him play in. It does have a smell at first but we let it sit over night in the open air and by morning it isn't as bad. Also, the price for the amount is a little much. It sounds like a lot of dirt but for the bin we use it will take like 6 or 7 of these bins to really fill up all the way. We have gotten 2 and that seems to be enough for our son, will probley ask for more as gifts.

Great indoor toddler fun! Easy to clean, a little pricy. But I was able to save a lot of it for later use. But free digging definitely got a little messy, that then needed to be sweeper up and trashed.

My grandson discovered this dirt while playing in Santa's workshop at Cabella's. He kept returning to the table no matter how we tried to distract him. I got him a small container that day and ordered the 3-lb tub here. We also bought a shallow bin at WM for containment and storage. He got it all for Christmas and plays with it every day, sometimes multiple times per day. Being 3, he doesn't keep it all in the bin, but he loves it. He plays with construction vehicle, Hot Wheels, and Disney Cars in it. I would purchase again. I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

The plus side for this product is it is easy to clean up and seems clean and safe. Unfortunately this product was not like real dirt and it was not like kinetic sand. It was hard to dig, or mold because of the weird way it stayed together… I don’t know how to explain it, but it was hard for my 3 year old-who basically loves all dirt and sand- to play with. The coolest thing we could do is use it as “ground” in his play box for his trucks to drive over, but it wasn’t much good for actual digging or molding.
