Adhesive is too strong; paper fiber residue left on mat
Buyers BEWARE: So these cutting mats are sized to be entirely compatible with most Cricut machines (I have an Explore Air 2). The material is quite durable, making it a reliable surface for cutting. The plastic protector cover is thick and sturdy. For the listing price, this 2-pack mat combo is a very attractive and cost-effective deal. However, while one mat is labeled “light grip” and the other “standard grip”, both mats feature an extremely sticky adhesive material. The gripping layer is secure and is not going to make a mess or get on anything, but it will strongly latch onto your intended media. When removing paper or cardstock after a cut, you’re likely to experience some peeling that will leave patches stuck on the mat to be scraped away (see photo).
