Versatile Tiles
I bought several packages of these sound-proofing tiles to create a sound barrier between two rooms in our house. I taped these tiles to the door that goes between two rooms. The tiles were easy to tape, and cut to fit the space with a good sharp exacto knife. While the tiles dampened the sound quite a bit, it is next to impossible to completely sound-proof between rooms through a doorway due to so many other factors (i.e. walls, floors, etc). So, I can say that these tiles added good sound dampening, and are quite versatile in their applications. I have thought of doubling the thickness with another set overlaying the first set, but I may wait and see about doing that. These tiles look way better than those foam tiles that other people use, and I believe the noise dampening is better than foam. A request for future product development might be to offer these tiles is a double thickness

These thin panels actually work!
I was skeptical of these "thin" panels. I've used a lot of acoustic treatments in the past, and have a good amount in my current listening room (Acoustimac art panels, Echo Buster - Corner Killers, and RPG corner foam traps) I needed some additional material to make ceiling/wall "flags" and to treat primary reflection points on my ceiling and wall behind my listening position. After installing the Burton Superdense panels in those positions, I was thrilled to note improved soundstage depth and sense of individual instrument/voice placement. I don't know how these little panels accomplish the stated NRC specifications, but they sure seem to!!! Recommended.

Bought it for reducing incoming noise to my bedroom, kind of works
I bought like 9 boxes and lined up my entire door and part of the wall. It works to an extent, and the incoming noise from outside has been reduced to a significant and noticeable degree. The thing is, unless you can cover every nook and cranny of the space where the noise is coming in, then you’ll still hear sound, the material just dampens the noise, and reduces it, but will not mitigate any incoming sound completely

Product worked but hard to remove
This product worked well with reducing sound. However, it was difficult to remove and it damaged my wall. I don't recommend purchasing this item because it damaged my wall.

Nice product, check your noise reduction needs first
Order multiple boxes. Product ships promptly. Panels are rigid 12 x12 and can be cut to size. However, sound absorption is limited. It conditions sound within a room and removes echo, but panels do not do much to absorb sound from another room.I had issue with noisy neighbor's sound system and sound attenuation was minimal at best.My wall cavity was insulated to the T, so a little hard to understand why the total assembly did not muffle the sound. My conclusion is that this product is more for condition sound within a room and other means have to be implemented in trying to reduce sound through a wall.Hope this helps customers.

Absorbs noise of noisy new refrigerator well
Our house has an annoyingly-sized refrigerator nook and so our selection of refrigerators is very limited. The one we ended up buying was quite a bit noisier than the previous model (no longer made) so I listened carefully to where the compressor noise escaped the nook - mostly through the gap between the top of the fridge and the overhead cabinet. Fortunately, there was plenty of room for airflow regardless, so I covered the underside of the cabinet with the .36" tile, and used the leftover on the wall behind the compressor, where the noise originates. (There's still adequate space for ventilation - the nook has a chimney vent in back.)Result was absolutely brilliant. My housemates knew what I was up to and one of them came in when I was done and asked, "...is it on?" And it was. If the clothes dryer (down the hall) hadn't _also_ been on, he'd've heard it, and I certainly heard it, but the high-pitched tones in particular - the really annoying ones - are just _gone_.I've ordered some more to run up along the sides of the back wall, just because I can. Sound has to bounce off that to come out the side air gaps, and those are now the main source of sound travel, so... why not stop that too? It's not the cheapest approach, but it's a _lot_ cheaper than the alternatives. (This fridge wasn't cheap, but the other ones that would fit start at $1000 more and go up from there. It's a _really_ annoying refrigerator nook.)So, yeah. Really happy. Just make sure you've got enough venting/airflow, or you'll choke your refrigerator. But if you have the airflow, or you can add it (see also: the chimney vent) then go for it.

Acoustic Treatment
Wanted to add acoustical treatment to my room with my monitor speakers. 5 tiles of this stiff boar dseemed like a good deal. (Price has risen since I purchased).I was enticed by the claim from the manufacturers that NRC is much higher over a wider range of frequencies compared to typical studio foam. This product works well and as advertised. I found the tiles easy to mount. When I needed to I used a box cutter to trim and cut down the tile to fit a spot. I used mounting tape for hanging heavy things (even though the boards are light) which I got from my local hardware store and the tape holds the panels well.
