Unlike commercial and office locations, wall clocks are less commonly used in homes these days given omnipresent smart phones and myriad appliances such as stoves and microwaves that have digital clocks. However, the home gym is one place where the simple analog wall clock really shines, especially when lifting weights. In order to optimize body-building workouts an extremely important consideration is to accurately track time under tension for each set of reps for a given exercise. It is generally well accepted that your best gains stem from a total of 45-60 seconds under tension per set comprised of a roughly 1 second muscle contraction and 3 second release per rep. Although you can try silently counting the seconds for every rep this is not always consistent and it's easy to lose track, and looking at your watch or smartphone timer while performing most exercises isn't feasible. I've tried using a number of different "high tech" device aids such as using metronome apps on my phone and Echo devices alone or combined with my phone's timer, but the metronome sound gets old fast and doesn't track the duration of your set, and starting and stopping the timer hands-free hasn't worked well. The best solution I've discovered is the simple analog wall clock with sweep second hand, and this clock is perfect for that use. Placing one or more in a good wall position enables you to watch it during most exercises and accurately track each rep, and even if you cannot watch it during certain exercises (such as flat bench presses), you can easily track the total duration of the set to help you stay in the 45-60 second zone. Here's why this clock is especially well suited for this role: - Smooth, easy to read sweep second hand - Minute hand is long enough to clearly identify the minute markers for timing set durations when you can't watch the clock while performing the exercise or for timing rest intervals (both easy things to otherwise space out on, especially during very hard or lengthy workout sessions...) - Good size face at a very reasonable price - Absolutely quiet; no distracting ticking - Lightweight and easy to mount I really have nothing negative to say about this clock. Naturally I will update this review if anything negative crops up. But for now I can attest to the fact that mounting it in my home gym has eased the mental concentration burden of my weight lifting workouts and made for an overall better and more productive experience.

I purchased this for my camper and was looking for a wall mounted 8 inch diameter face that I could see from anywhere. This clock fit the bill perfectly. It’s small, light, quiet as in “no ticking” and it remains accurate. It’s black numbers on white background face makes it easy to read from a distance. Mounting hardware is unique in a good way. I have it mounted on the wall adjacent to the camper door and the mounting hardware holds it in place with every door closing. A feature I didn’t give much thought to at the time but a plus when it arrived.

Well, this is a nice, big, large number clock that keeps time well. It does not tick, but it's not silent. I can hear it running. Maybe the movement of the second hand, but I do hear it functioning. Otherwise, a good product.

I have the sliver 10 in clock. This is a very nice looking clock. The bezel is slim, and looks simple and classic. The red second hand is a nice contrast. It also came with a mounting 'star' like pin to attach to the wall. But I hung it on the push pin which was used for the previous clock. The second hand sweeps smoothly. It is silent. If I hold the clock mechanism right next to my ear, I can hear a very faint rapid ticking (perhaps at 5 ticks per second). Certainly cannot hear it from 12 inches away. It has been working fine for the past month or so, and keeps accurate time. Prefer this to the atomic clock, since I can set the time 2 minutes ahead, to start office meetings on time. I'm probably going to get a smaller one and for a different time zone.

Great value for money. Very clear dial. Good brushed metal finish giving it a sleek look. Super smooth operation of the seconds hand. Light in weight so can be hung on any wall/wooden surface. Clear time hands to read the time from far. Good for children to see time and not get lost on the design of the clock!! I use it in my bedroom.
