They are hard to start but work very well

Strongly recommend .Its helped tighten up my hull planking .Be careful to not over torque the screws popping out . So far that has been an easy fix for 2 with CA glue ( drop of super glue)

More expensive than they should be, but they do work.

I'm using them with 2 by 5 mm hull planks. Holds planks securely for gluing or when bending to fit the curve of the hull. Had to get two sets because of the size of the project. The clamp is shaped to hold the plank flat against the hull.

I have tried many ways of planking ships. At the end of the day, nails, thumbtacks, or treenails are superior to the fancier approaches like this one. There are some situations where this works but the diameter of the screw is quite large and, should it fail, the frame may break. Furthermore, one end is heavier than the other so the tabs tend to spin under gravity and result in pointing the wrong way, requiring partial unfastening of the screw; the latter cannot be done more than say twice. The location of the screw is a bit weird too, if you plan on using the inside corner to line up the plank, you will fail.I'm going to continue using these where appropriate because it can make planking easier but it's not a substitute to doing it the old-fashioned way.

Brilliant design and exactly what is needed for planking a hull. Micro screws are self tapping and exert plenty of pressure across the plank. Highly recommended.

Absolutely do not buy this. It looks near the same but is not the same product as the Micromark original. Every single clamp I used broke by the second use. The screw thread is just poorly stuck into a hollow cone in the knurled handle. Once you start using the clamp, the pressure causes the thread to bend to an angle and/or pop-out. Unfortunately, I did not start using these until after the 30-day return period.
