This is by far the best microwave heating pad! The heat stays and it’s very therapeutic! It’s soft and conforms to your body. The pad has straps so it can be tied around your waist and shoulders. Not only can this be used as a heating source but can be used as a cold compress by placing it in the freezer. I have purchased 3; one for myself, one for my husband and daughter. I highly recommend!

This item was good quality and size, but it's problem is loosing heat too fast, it keeps water warm for max 20-30 minutes.

I ride a horse - sometimes my back hurts, my shoulders and neck hurt. I can't always figure whether heat or cold is going to feeling better. Horses riding like many other physically demanding sports can be tough on your body, especially as your grow older and have accumulated some injuries. Several years ago I bought a microwavable pad like the BioMed called a Thermalon, but now its Amazon reviews (thank you!) are not great. So I searched for a different vendor, but similar design as the Thermalon. This product is far superior for several reasons. The Biomed:(1) has a much better, softer, more inviting cover - soft fleece on one side and a more duct-like material on the other. Pick which side the side that delivers what you like; (2) is larger, so it covers several inches above and below my waist; (3) can be tied around your neck so it will cover the neck and top of shoulders at the same time; and (4) holds the heat or cold for a longer period of time. Only negative, the BioMed cost twice as much as the Thermalon, but given the negative reviews about the material not wearing well, the BioMed is probably still a good deal

This helps my back loosen up as well as my neck and you can tie it or just drape it. I drape it over my shoulders and neck at night while watching tv in bed with my pillow behind it and it works wonderfully. It makes it easier for me to fall asleep comfortably and before I know it I’m waking up in the morning with it still in place lol. I just pop it in the microwave on a paper plate for 1 minute then flip it for an additional 30 seconds. One thing I mostly love is that by the time the heat cools down in about 45 minutes, my neck/back is way better and almost 100% but you can choose to take it off within your own timeframe especially if you’re hurting, but need to get out the door. I like that the heat is like a timer so when it cools you know your done, unlike a heating pad that keeps the same heat blasting on you, over heating your muscles until you decide to shut it off and that never has helped me the way this does. You can also use the belt, which is a great length, to tie so you can move around if needed. I have degenerative discs which became much more painful after a careless driver caused a car wreck. I don’t like taking pain meds that cloud my brain and I found this was the most natural and effective way to find any sort of relief especially when I need to get on with my day. Highly recommend!!

I live in upstate New York and walk 5 miles every day no matter what the weather. We are presently experiencing our third Nor'Easter and it's difficult to walk in the snow and pretty cold too. Every night when I get home I put the heat wrap on my back and stiffness never comes my way....without it my back is usually sore. It's a great product, covers a lot of territory and stays put too. I find it perfect to use after shoveling and I'm sure it will soothe aches and pains when gardening season comes along too. Stays warm for a long time..............
