Great for teaching
I bought these turbo Java to teach technique to my students in grade five through eight . Worked out well and nobody was speared.

Works as advertised.
It's much "fatter" than a steel javelin, much more like an aluminum one. This may influence your grip, especially those with small hands - otherwise, well worth the money.
