Definitely works! Light weight and easy to use!
Update 7-10-25 I still love this lawn mower! Still works perfectly! I’ve had two people borrow it and they were amazed that such a light mower with a battery performed as good as their (now broken) gas heavy duty lawn mower. I was skeptical about buying the lawnmower, because the price was cheap but honestly, I needed a lawnmower, super quick and it could be here the next day and I figured if it sucked, I could just return it. My heavy gas lawnmower broke and I had a jungle to mow. It was very easy to put together. It does take a while for the battery to charge. It went through my very high grass easily. I did have to stop and charge the battery halfway through but considering how tall the grass was that wasn’t a problem. I mow the lawn weekly and I haven’t had any problems with the lawnmower. You can easily push it with one hand. I have a steep hill that is bumpy in my backyard and it is so easy to use this lightweight lawnmower on it! My old gas one mower was so heavy. I would have to take a couple of breaks mowing before I could do the whole hill… now I can run right through it because the lawnmower is so lightweight. The mower bag easily fits into a paper leaf bag so when you are dumping the grass, it just slides into the leaf bag. I like not having to mess with leaf bag to get the grass into it. It mows right through little twigs. It’s a great lawnmower. It makes nice diagonal lines in my grass. It easily goes around trees and mulching. If you have a huge lawn or your a couch potato… you might want to get a second battery set. It’s a great lawnmower … lightweight… easy to move around… not noisy

Smartest purchase ever!!
I am 82 years young and independent. Mower is quiet so I can mow anytime without bothering neighbors. Lightweight makes it easy to push on flat or slope. Battery life better than expected and batteries charge fast. It has 6 cutting levels, is easy to use and clean. Handle folds for easy storage. So fun to use and does a great job! I highly recommend.

It’s really super nice!
I’m writing my review from the mower that I had in the past. My wife wanted me to be careful in my older age, and just have a lawn service cut our grass, see? So the mower I purchased, and then returned after complying with my wife, was really a good machine! I hated sending it back. So I went along with a lawn service doing my yard for a month… But that was enough for me! I hated looking out the window seeing grass that in my eyes, needed cutting. So I reordered the same exact mower. Except the mower came in a box that 1) wasn’t taped, box flaps were open and crinkled. The Amazon box the mowers box was in was just fine however. Weird. And 2) the batteries were missing! So I had no choice but to send back because Amazon said a replacement was not offered. I’m a bit upset because even though UPS already picked up the return, AND THE MOWER IS ON ITS WAY BACK, I STILL AM BEING MADE TO WAIT FOR MY REFUND! AND I AM NOT GOING TO BUY ANOTHER UNTIL I DO. It’s a shame! I was really looking forward to cutting my own grass! And let me just say that the 1st mower i had bought, the batteries stayed charged a very long time. So long, I was able to cut my whole front and back yards on that single charge! When finished, I simply put back onto the charger and did not need again for another week! This machine is incredible! And now I am mourning the fact I ever returned that 1st mower! Because now I am having to deal with missing batteries and waiting on my refund, just so I CAN REORDER THE EXACT SAME THING…but this time, hopefully it’ll have all its pieces! Anyway, just wanted to write this review to express to the company I really wish I had not returned that 1st mower…only did because of my wife and having a lawn service. But I’m happy I’ll finally own one once again, soon as I get my refund. That machine really was incredible! A single charge and it cut my whole yard! Both front and back! Just incredible!

Do NOT buy this!!! stops working after a couple months
DO NOT BUY THIS!!! worked fine for a couple months, now it won’t even run for 10 minutes, the batteries die almost immediately no matter how fully charged they are. Do NOT waste your time with this faulty garbage item, just buy a gas powered mower instead!! Absolute JUNK!

Light is Might...
This brushless mower is compact, but effective for a small to medium yard. With about 40 minutes of operating time, which is more than sufficient for most lawns, the Lawn Master CLMF4817E is more than adequate to have you lawn in good condition. The width of the mower allows for an even swath. The weight is so unbelievably light, you can easily operate it with one hand over level terrain. The only noticeable issues is that the handle can move out of place if the bolts are tightly clamped down. This comes with a mulching attachment and a bag, that while is small, easily mounts to the back of the mower. The neighbors too will smile that this machine makes such little noise, that you don't even have to worry about early morning mowing. Another downside is that the batteries are proprietary and will not fit other brands machinery. It is only going to work on this machine. I would advise buying a replacement battery; just in case.

Made the switch and very happy
So it was time for a new mower as my 20 year old gas mower stopped running while I was cutting the grass a few weeks ago. Thought the carbs just needed to be cleaned but still won't start after cleaning and just so tired of the work it takes to keep it running. Almost threw out my back and shoulder pulling the string a few dozen (seems like hundreds) of times. Could probably get it running again if I had to but I'm over it. I was originally going to get a greenworks but the delivery time was 2 weeks and I couldn't wait that long. The ETA for this one was 1 week so this is the one I ordered. To my pleasant surprise it arrived 2 days after ordering (thanks amazon and lawnmaster!). Assembly consists of attaching the handle, which took all of 5 mins if that. (I think the mower's made in china and sometimes the manuals for stuff made there aren't written in the best English, but this one was written in perfect english). Charged the batteries and cut the grass the next day. The fact that it came with 2 batteries was the biggest deal maker for me. Didn't want to have a single battery die in the middle of cutting. And bonus, it comes with a dual charger so you can charge both at the same time. How does it work? Great. Push the button to start, relatively quiet, height adjustment is a breeze, light, easy to maneuver, no pull string, air filter, spark plug, gas, fumes, oil to worry about, ever. It also comes with a mulcher that you can use instead of the bag if that's your thing. I use the bag which isn't huge, which to me is a good thing as it makes it easy to remove and empty. To clean I just used the leaf blower to blow all the loose grass off and it's so light and easy to tip over compared to my gas mower, just tip it over (and don't have to worry about gas spilling) and blow underneath it. Done. I don't have a ton of space in my garage (old mower was kept outside), but this one (with the handle moved up to its highest position) fits right in to the little space I have in there. Front and back I have give or take about 800 sq feet of lawn and when I was done still had plenty of battery left. I did try to cut as fast as I could to make sure I didn't run out of battery before I was done but now I know that's not necessary for me. I don't know if this is the best electric mower out there but I have no complaints about this one. And it was one of the less expensive ones I looked at. I've seen some reviews saying the batteries were a little tough to get into the mower (or was that for a different brand?) but I had absolutely no issues. They clicked right in and removed easily. Now it's just a matter of seeing how it will hold up after time but after 1 mow I'm happy as can be. And I'm all electric now (blower, weed eater and now mower) so if you're environmentally conscious like me that's a bonus. PS. Glad I read this in the manual but it says to remove the batteries from the charger after they're charged to prolong their life. Some chargers have an auto shut off so it doesn't matter if you leave the batteries in or not, so be aware if you get this one. No problem recommending this one at all, in fact I highly do.

Surprised....
Update on this mower - Well, I've had this mower about 15 months now. I've carted it locally cutting around buildings, shrubs, trees, edging sidewalks and driveways and am still tickled to death with it. It has not had one stumble. The batteries charge just fine... the heavy cloth bag/grass-catcher still works just fine... the flip door where the grass-catcher goes has warped a little (plastic) but that does not interfere with the operation of the mower or the grass-catcher. I've cut through some very heavy foliage - no issue. The "mulch as you go" idea hit me while cutting around the shrubs.... fill the bag - stop - dump the clippings around the shrubs - reseat the bag - continue cutting - repeat. If and/or when this mower bites the dust, I will be very sad because it has served well. Highly recommend this product, and I hope whoever purchases one has the same luck I have had. I can one-hand it into the back of the truck (tailgate down), quick strap it to prevent rolling and move on to the next site (I'm getting close to 80, btw). The batteries will last about an hour or so of continuous mowing if grass is heavy (not wet heavy). Takes a little shy of two hours to fully charge. Would purchase again - no problem. I get nothing for writing this nor expect to do so. I take care of my tools, do not abuse them. This is my experience with this product and happy to support. Wasn't sure what to expect with this mower, but I needed something that I could use around shrubs, borders, and building/s other than a weed eater which is trim no. 2. I got the 16" which goes between the shrubs easily. The cut is easily adjustable from low to high ( a plus ). Follow the wire coming out of the main body of the machine, up the handle and into a little black box and there's a yellow button. Push it in, hold and depress the yellow safety bar - release the button while still depressing the safety bar. There's a slight pause and the blade starts to turn. Works like most every other mower that has a safety bar. This mower also has an automatic 2nd gear for heavy grass, a surprise, and the cut is smooth. I let the grass get too heavy in several places but this little dude tackled it with ease - Again, surprise! Total cut time for my first use - approx... 30-40 mins, and still had battery life. I charged the batteries right out of the box for about a long as it took me to read the instructions and assemble the handle, which is the ONLY real assembly needed. The battery box is easy to access on the top of the body - Caution: There is a Key attached to a string in the battery box that needs to be plugged in (kind of like a table saw safety key) which allows the machine to turn-on. It's zero trouble to assemble if you have any experience with putting things together. It's logical the way it's built. It has a mulch-plug in the rear discharge (where the grass exits) which needs to be removed (just wiggle and lift up & out) before adding the grass catcher (easily attached and removed and already assembled). Easy to dump the grass out because it's fairly small ( a plus, in my opinion because it doesn't get heavy ). This is not a half-acre+ use machine ( again, my opinion ), but it's terrific for a small area or trim use before/after the yard tractor does the heavy lifting. This are my initial thoughts concerning this product because I've only used it once. I recharged the batteries after I completed doing the trimming - probably a 200' X 5' run ... which has a ditch bank, lots of shrubs with borders but not too bumpy. I didn't stop because the battery went down, I stopped because it was almost dark and the skeeters were biting. There's about another 250' X 5' to go. I started with the blade in the second highest position and lowered as I got more used to the machine. Easy to push forward or pull backwards ( cuts either way ). Gotta say - I was Surprised at how easy this machine is to use. It seems that with ordinary care it should last a while. Suits my purpose just fine. I'll update this rating if things go South. The price was under $200 and I've got a weed eater that cost more and is not as easy to use. BTW - I'm closer to 80 than 70. Happy cutting!

Be aware of what you are buying - be prepared to return
Runs and cuts grass well. I bought this small mower to trim around bushes and fences. It is Great for that. Bagger is small - but does the job. 3 stars because the body is plastic and all the wheels are less than substantial. Also was quite evident the mower we received was a returned item as there were grass clippings in the box! There was No manual and one of the battery connections on the mower housing was not seated - had to fix to even get the battery connected..... I'd return it for those reasons, but it will do what I need and the price was right.
