The perfect safety essential for home gymnastics!
I purchased this BalanceFrom 10x4 feet 4-panel folding gymnastics mat to go under my daughter’s gymnastics bar, and it has been an absolute necessity for her home practice. It provides that extra layer of cushion and safety that gives me peace of mind while she works on her skills. Why it’s a great addition to your home gym: Excellent Cushioning: The 2-inch thickness is perfect for absorbing impact, which is exactly what you want when your child is practicing dismounts or working on new routines at home. Durable & Easy to Clean: The vinyl surface is high-quality and very easy to wipe down, which is a huge plus after a long practice session. Convenient Storage: I love that it’s a 4-panel folding design; it makes it incredibly easy to fold up and store away when she’s not practicing, keeping our space tidy. Perfect Size: The 10x4 dimensions offer a generous landing area, providing enough coverage to safely surround the practice bar. If your daughter is practicing gymnastics at home, this mat is an essential investment for her safety and progress. Highly recommended!

Perfect for home use
When everything shut down for Covid, I was glad that we had equipment at home to continue our workouts. The shutdown did force me to acknowledge the weak areas in our home gym. While we had weights and cardio covered, we didn't have a good surface that was conducive to stretching and practicing BJJ techniques when we couldn't go to class. I set out to find a solution that would produce an acceptable surface on a concrete basement floor. I looked at many alternatives and had settled on a huge supplier of MMA mats. The one I honed in on would roll up out of the way when not in use. I started looking for the least expensive place to purchase the mats and landed at Amazon. What I found is that those mats are significantly more expensive for less coverage and that they never go on sale. Since I was shopping Amazon at this point I looked for alternatives and found these. After reading the reviews I ended up ordering 3 mats, which gave us a 10x12 area for about $250 less that what I had been shopping for. These mats seem very sturdy and easily fold out of the way. The velcro appears to be strong enough to hold the mats tightly together while we roll around on them and I don't think we will take them apart often enough to have this wear out. The padding is also thick enough so we do not have any issues using these directly on an epoxy coated concrete floor. The vinyl seems thick enough to be good for the long haul as well. In the end, we will use these several times a week for a little practice but the commercial mats that are more expensive were probably overkill. These mats came with a 2 year warranty so while I don't anticipate any issues with them, I will probably just replace them if something happens to them down the road. These are probably the best value out there in folding gym mats and they are working great for why we bought them so far.

Great customer service!
All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase. We chose these mats as an alternative to spending 500 dollars on a wrestling mat. The reviews were pretty good and with a 2 year warranty why not take a chance on them. I will say that one of the mats arrived with a 3 inch tear on it, however this could've been a shipping and handling issue. I reached out to Amazon and the company promptly sent me a replacement so the customer service is fantastic and what you like to see from a product like this. The mats come with Velcro to attach multiple mats and are a pretty decent size. They are easy to manipulate and attach to one another so big plus there. They are also easy to remove and fold up to store upright somewhere convenient. The carrying handles also make things convenient when carrying the mats. They mats themselves are firm but still provide a ton of cushion which is exactly what I was looking for to be able to wrestle and grapple on them. Now for the quality test.... We put these mats to the test with a little wrestling practice. 3 hours straight of high school kids takedowns, throws and even live wrestling and the mats held up fantastic with no issues. What's great about these mats is they are easy to transport and that you can always just order another one to add to the desired size and kind of customize how you want to set them up for your room. And as mentioned above, the 2 year warranty combined with excellent customer service will put your mind at ease when purchasing these mats. I would definitely recommend.

Used for Jiu Jitsu You can't beat the quality and $ per sq ft on this product!
When I first saw the boxes arrive to my home I was pleasantly shocked. They were definitely big as one would hope for them to be. I say this because I was paranoid as to what 4 X 10 would look like in person. I opened the box with a box cutter, let me add that I strongly advise you to open these with the utmost caution, given that the mat material is only covered by a thin plastic bag. If you use a box cutter, as I have, please only use the most minimal incision depth to avoid punctures to mat material. Upon removing the mats, the first thing I noticed was the Vinyl Material. It was very much solid in that it wasn't baggy on the mat like other folding mats I have seen before. The material was firmly fitted with minor slack in certain areas, which is normal with any vinyl mat cover. The vinyl was very supple and not abrasive like other mats I have seen. The mat has on each end a strip of Velcro, to attach other mats to it. They also have a convenient handle once folded for easy carry. Best part is they come with a 2 year warranty. I unfolded and laid down the mat on the floor and was shook by how much space they took up, even my brother commented on his concern if we were gonna have enough space for them. I took out the other mats and started to connect them. Connecting the mats isn't too difficult. There is kind of a learning curve connecting them. My suggestion is to have the mat you are connecting overlap the mat thats on the floor and then gently slide the mat in to place on the velcro flap. I bought 3 Mats which is definitely enough if you want to spar comfortably 1 on 1. I'd say get 4 Mats if you wanna spar 1v1 in an MMA fashion. 3 Mats is enough for 4 people if technique is the only thing being practiced and drilled. Anyway, once we connected them, I spent no time waiting to test them out. Test 1: My biggest concern in getting these mats was that the foam wasn't going to be dense enough to provide comfort during my rolls. Boy was I wrong. These guys are very firm. Not so much that it feels like I am walking on solid bare ground but enough that I can tell what I was walking on is cushioned. My feet did not sink in much, if at all, when I stood on them. I did a few break falls and did not feel any sort of discomfort. I would not suggest slamming someone on these mats but I would feel comfortable having a take down done on me with these mats. Test 2: My next biggest concern was that the Velcro would not hold when doing shrimping movements or pushing off my back foot for a double leg. The mats held up just fine with no issue. No moving around on the bare floor or separation. Should that be the case at any point, I can always add strips of Velcro to the end "faces" of the mats but so far I don't think I will need too. Test 3: Drilling. I'll be honest, I have yet to do a full out sparring session on these because the reason I bought them was to do the Gracie University curriculum with my brother. He is not in anyway experienced in Grappling, so we only did technique drilling. These mats were as comfortable as can be. I forgot I was even drilling in my garage. The material is perfect for Jiu jitsu. I can't fathom getting mat burn from the material. My back felt comfortable in guard and even when my brother was working his mount attacks on me. For cleaning, I suggest not over saturating the mats with your cleaning solution. So put the mop bucket away. The best way I have found to clean them is to use a spray bottle (I use a bleach and water solution) and dry mop pad. Spray and push the mop pad down the mat till solution is spread and thinned out. Allow to air dry and put the mats up (or leave them down, whatever, they're your mats) Overall I will give them the following ratings: Material: 8/10: They by no means feel cheap but nor does it feel super expensive either. It is adequate and then some. The vinyl is very comfortable and solid. The mat foam is very firm and absorbs impact like a champ (well as well as a 2 inch thick mat could). It is all you need and then some. In the future I will buy a vinyl tarp to put over it to increase the mat life. Build quality: 8/10: While some customers have reported issues with the seams coming upon receiving them, they are in the minority of the reviews and I have yet to see much quality issues besides the occasional thread sticking out. They don't appear to be loose but maybe just end pieces that didn't get cut. You really have to look for it, it is by no means noticeable or bothersome or even concerning. The 2 year warranty helps me sleep at night too. The handles seem adequate and the Velcro doesn't seem flimsy at all. Set up: 9/10 I am not a fan of Velcro in the first place but to be fair this is just how folding mats lock, still way more convenient and comfortable than puzzle mat, set up isn't all that fun but they get the job done. While I prefer the ease in the Velcro setup that Gracie Garage mats used to have (Velcro on the flat ends of the mat), these seem to be more secure. Like I said, it is a learning curve but only a small one to align them just right. Taking the mats off and folding them is not too much of a hassle. Just pull the mat from the Velcro strip. I advise you to step or push on the fuzzy Velcro flap while you pull the other mat off to prevent any damage to the flaps. The mats fold up easily and the handle really helps transport them. Price: 10/10 You seriously can't beat this quality and $ per sq ft anywhere else. Overall Score: 9/10: Best 235 bucks I have spent. Do yourself a favor and get them!

Very good mat indeed
My daughter is 10 and I wanted to get a mat for her to perform her gymnastics moves. Something good for her height and size. I spent a long time looking at all the sizes provided by multiple companies and reading reviews. This one was by far the best. For a kid her age, 10 feet long and 4 feet wide is perfect. It is long enough for her to do her moves but not too narrow either like 3-foot-wide mats. Being 2 inches thick is perfect as well because it provides just the right amount of cushion. Plus, it has handles once folded up to be carried away. Best bang for your buck. Very durable. Not too heavy to make you struggle but not too light making worry if it won't stay in one place. When my daughter gets older and bigger, I would get a longer mat but this is perfect for a kid between 7 and 12 who is in the 4-to-5-foot range. If your kid is 5'6" and above, I would get a longer mat but make sure it is still at least 4 feet wide.

Great mat for home Jiu Jitsu training
I got this mat to do simple Jiu Jitsu workouts at home by myself. At 2 inches thick, they're actually thicker than some of the big name mats like Zebra and Dollamur. As far as I can tell, the firmness is comparable too. Aside from that, 4x10 is a generous amount of space for one person to do solo drills. This is an amazing value at this price, firmness, and size. They actually feel very similar to any academy's mats. They aren't mushy at all. It is really a high density mat as advertised and that's very important if you want them for solo drills. You can comfortably do full forward rolls, back rolls, and hip escapes on this mat no problem. I mainly just do fitness stuff on them like burpees, kettlebells, and movement drills like double leg shots, sprawls, and granby rolls. Oh yeah, I'm really accustomed to doing bare foot jump rope on mats so these are great for that too. I recommend them for simple stuff like that. I can't speak to their long-term wear since I just got them and have only had a few sessions on them. I will say that the quality control may be an issue. I was expecting the mat material to have a tight fit around the foam within. It's ok for 3 of the 4 segments of the mat, but the last one is a little looser and that's annoying. This would be a deal breaker for sparring because that loose material will tug more and eventually tear a lot sooner than if it were tighter fitting. And from what I can see, the surrounding mat material is not very thick. You can look at the review pictures and see there are tighter mats and looser ones, so the product doesn't seem to be consistent. Just something to be aware of. Also, these say they have a 2-year warranty, but I wouldn't bank on that. This company 'BalanceFrom' will probably be rebranded or not exist in 2 years.

A wonderful mat for just about any age
I initially bought this for the little kids that come to my home for play days. It was to use help keep them busy and entertained at my lake house when they have no desire to go into the water. It holds up to a lot of activity and the children are having a great time. It even holds up my weight well and I am considering purchase of another one to use for my own exercise and fun. I am 75 years old and am handicapped. It is still easy for me to open and close. It has two carry handles that are strong. I am also excited about the strips around the entire edges so that other mats can attach to it. I originally saw this as a tumbling pad for the little ones. However I have about 30 people come at a time of all ages. They love to play music and dance in their bare feet, so this is perfect for them. Of course, only a handful at a time do this at any time. We are all thrilled with this product and I highly recommend it. This is a perfect mat for exercises and I even see many of us just sitting on it by the lake. It is soooooo comfortable. But that was not why I purchased it. It looks well built and I am absolutely pleased with this purchase. I took a picture of it next to our large jet ski to show how nice and large one mat is. The colors are really nice, as well. The teens especially like to dance on it. It has brought a lot of joy to many people of all sorts of ages.

Fantastic mat
Brilliant mat. Bought at Christmas 2025 for my son to practice his Brazilian jiu-jitsu between training days and he loves it. Purchased a second mat to give him double the area to train on (velcro edges for this). The mat is super lightweight so easy for me to fold and carry when he fancies training in the garden etc but it's dense enough that take downs are a safe, comfortable land (tried and tested when he shows me his moves 😂). Overall brilliant - I highly recommend 😊 thank you
