ZINUS 5 Inch Queen Metal Smart Box Spring with Quick Assembly, Mattress Foundation, Strong Metal Frame, Easy Assembly

Buy it, don’t hesitate. I chose the “New/upgraded with quick assembly” rather than “Original” option because easy assembly was important to me. I purchased the 5 inch box spring because I needed only a little lift for my queen mattress. This item is so perfect and SO easy to assemble! I got the box in the house alone and assembled it alone. Took 1 hour. The only hiccup was when I placed the middle connectors upside-down - make sure the holes are facing up only on the middle connector pieces marked “G” so that the middle rack can slide down into that slot. It’s a pain to disconnect if you place it wrong. The cover is so easy to get on, just like a fitted sheet. It did not slide off at all while placing the box spring onto the platform bed frame, which I also did alone. It doesn’t squeak or slide around. Love it!!

I was surprised at how quick and easy this box spring was to put together, it took me less than 5 minutes. The height is perfect for keeping my 18 month olds bed at a comfortable height to ensure if she does fall off her bed it’s not too high. The metal frame feels solid and not only supports the mattress and her really well but also an adult. This made the transition from crib to bed effortless, she’s gotten such good sleep on her new bed. No creaking or wobbling so far. Great value for the price—I’d definitely recommend it!

Fantastic box spring. The item is easy to assemble and comes together in well less than an hour. Clever pop in pieces and few bolts make for a sturdy bed frame. A hex wrench and a little socket hex wrench are included, though I couldn’t get the knack of using the socket hex wrench. The regular hex wrench was more than adequate .The cover is well made and fits well. Pleased with this purchase

Before I get into the review, it's important to know this product is NOT a box spring. It's a metal foundation. There is a difference between the two. You can Google it for more details but the traditional box spring actually contains spring coils similar to a mattress. The purpose of the box spring coils is that when paired with a mattress, it works to take in some of the shock from normal use, as well as serve to help limit any undo wear to the mattress. So with that said, this product is a FOUNDATION, not a box spring.Now that we have the product clarification out of the way, now for the actual review. Our soon-to-be 3 Y.O. has been sleeping in her toddler bed (converted from her crib) and thought it was time for her to move to a regular bed. She is potty trained and we decided there's really no reason to keep her in the toddler bed. Luckily our crib is a 4-in-1, with the last conversion being a full-size bed.After researching online, I found that getting a low-profile box spring is preferred for toddlers so they can get in & out of bed. Otherwise the size of a mattress + box spring + bed frame would be too high for her. I tried shopping for a low profile box spring locally at various mattress stores and couldn't find anything cheaper than over $100 (plus they wanted $50 for delivery). So I just ended up finding this product on Amazon along with the mattress. For those of you wondering, I paired it with this product: Home Life Harmony Sleep 8" Pocket Spring Luxury Mattress, Full, White.Assembly was easy and took about 15-20 minutes. The instructions just consisted of pictures, so you just match the pieces in the picture. One reason I am docking a star is because one of the support bars on one of the pieces welded incorrectly. It actually caused the piece to not match up with the bolt hole. I had to "bend" the piece in order for it to line up with the bolt hole. In addition, some spots of the metal where it wasn't coated (metal spots near the weld were exposed) showed signs of minor rust.With those issues aside, this product makes for a VERY STURDY foundation. Fully assembled, it does not bend at all and is a perfect platform for the mattress. I do like how the product comes with a cover (to make it appear like traditional box springs). I just hope that no one jumps on it when exposed because I distinctly remember jumping on the box springs when I was a kid. Otherwise they'll slip right through.Good product!

So far, it is sturdy. I can't say how long it will last. The size of it is accurate to standard queen size. The height is a lot shorter than I thought, but I turns out I prefer that. The assembly instructions were incorrect on my manual. Luckily, it's a easy plug and go just by looking. It isn't heavy like traditional box springs and is pretty stable. It will slide if you do not have a bedframe.

Fantastic! Easy to assemble, sturdy, lightweight, all around great buy. Not to mention it’s 1/3 of the price of a traditional box spring. Yes there are no springs, but does what it’s meant to do great.
