Diono Monterey 2XT Latch 2 in 1 High Back Booster Car Seat with Expandable Height & Width, Side Impact Protection, 8 Years 1 Booster, Blue

I do wish the limits of the Diono seats with extra protection were as high as this one, but I’m glad they have something that goes to such high height limits, and this still has very good safety features beyond the requirements. Our son is very tall and I was glad to find a seat he could use for such a long time. We’ve had this over a year now—two of these actually, and the quality has been very good. My son also finds the seat very comfortable. We have two extremely hard to fit vehicles—Volvo 2012 XC60 and 2013 XC90, and this seat actually fits and works with the non-removable headrests and jut forward. These are a very good value for the money because of the high height and weight limits. Glad to have found these.

I have two kids (5 and 7) both with slight autism that are outgrowing their Graco convertible seats. With their seat’s expiration dates also closing in, I decided to go to make the leap of faith to regular seat belted boosters. I feel like I looked at every single one on Amazon before choosing these for their convertibility and price point. I was a little disappointed realizing that there’s no anchor with these, just the latches. I assumed anchoring was included in latch system, that’s on me. Obviously it’s because the seat transforms into backless, I guess I just thought the back would have that part. Oh well. The seatbelts ARE a little hard for kids to do themselves because of how wide the base is and how most buckles are designed to be flush with seats but hopefully the kids will get the hang of it. I will buy a seat belt buckle booster and see if that will aid the children in their independence. Side note! This may come off a little OCD but it bothered me. I ordered these two black seats at the same time, and they came with different accent colors… Literally changed the number in cart from 1 to 2. One seat has a GRAY Diono with a RED tag and one has a WHITE Diono with a GRAY tag. I included a picture but it may be hard to tell due to lighting. At first I thought they must have different manufacturers dates or be different models some how but nope they are exactly the same date and everything. I can’t even exchange one because who knows which one I‘d get back lol. Don’t judge me, pray for me lol.

This was a great cost effective choice for us in our 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. We were looking for something with a smaller profile in the captains chairs so the 3rd row was still accessible. I did a lot of research to find something that was capable of fitting our needs and also being safe for our girls, and this seat definitely fit all of our needs. This was a recommended buy from consumer reports with recommended great performance. With the built in latch anchors in the front the installation is very easy. It allows the seat to feel secure and stable while using the cars seat belt. It has dual cup holders that fold away. The material is nice and soft and seems like cleaning will be very easy. Overall we would definitely recommend.

This seat was easy to assemble and install in my vehicle. It is well built and heavier than other booster I have encountered. It has two straps with latches to secure the seat to the vehicle unlike some I have encountered and returned. Granddaughter likes it and it appears to provide adequate protection so I would recommend this seat.

I researchedand chose this booster seat because it is one of the widest ones out there. A lot of kids that are more on the "thicker" side have a hard time fitting between the armrests on regular booster seats before they get tall enough to not need a booster seat. I had my 11 year old who is 57 inches tall and 110 pounds sit in it, to make sure it would really last as long as I need it to for my 5 year old. He said it was comfortable and fit him well! I am 5'1" and I tried sitting in it, but the highest head position was too low for me, so I don't think it could really work as a high-back booster for children up to 63 inches, but you can also take the back off for taller kids. I had trouble installing it at first and had to adjust the seat recline and headrest a little on the actual car's seat to find the right position for the back of the booster to line up correctly with the back of the car's seat, but it wasn't too hard. Ones you get it right, hook the LATCH connectors and put a knee in the seat while pulling the straps on the front of the seat to tighten up the installation. I took off one star because when I opened the box, I couldn't figure out what the terrible smell was. It's kind of like old cheese and dog. I think the box must have been stored somewhere stinky next to something stinky. I don't think that all of them have that smell, because the display booster seat I saw in a store didn't smell bad. I'm giving it a few days to see if the smell disapates before deciding whether or not to return it.

Best booster. So easy to install and love that it doesn’t slide around when kids not in it

I love the dark purple color of this seat. Hooray for something other than pink, blue, grey, or black! My son loves this seat because it makes him look like a supervillain. The seat was super easy to install with the latch connectors, and he finds it easy to buckle and un-buckle himself like a big boy. Cup holders are ok - a bit small, but I like that they can be folded under the seat to get them out of the way. This is one of two boosters we own, and we like that this one is very lightweight and gets moved easily into other cars.

My child is very comfortable and safe, in this seat. The head rest is perfect for head protection. Also very easy to use and install

This is the perfect booster for middle row SUV or trucks! Our little guy loves this booster!

We've had our Diono Monterey for about a year. Install takes about 1-2 minutes, and is really easy. It sits securely in location without movement. My kid had no problem from day 1 of getting in and out from it. Be excited to move on from the 4-pt harness to this, we sure were.

If your little guy is on the husky side this seat is so comfortable and the little guy has room to breathe. I liked it so much I bought another for the kids!

Excelente para mi hijo de 6 años, antes solo tenia el asiento que eleva la altura, pero sentia estaba muy desprotegido de los lados, ahora con este se siente mas seguro y ademas le ayuda cuando duerme a sostener todo su cuerpo y la cabeza. Lo recomiendo 100%
