Well it works great but it's a little bit bulky to fit into tight areas that's minus one star. If it wasn't so bulky or they could make it out of a stronger alloy and thinner. It would be better, this is more of a off the vehicle repair solution

Works as it should. Paid a mechanic $800 to fix an ac hose 3 years ago. It started leaking again in the same spot. I used this tool, it’s fixed. It paid for itself 7x its first use.

One hose fitting on the AC compressor in my Monaco Diplomat RV was cracked. I purchased a replacement fitting here on Amazon and also this hydraulic crimper and was able to repar the #8 hose in a matter of minutes. I used the dies marked 8 and the fitting appeared slightly under crimped so I swapped in the next size tighter dies and partially crimped the fitting just enough that it looked like the factory crimp and I stopped there. Leak checked good with shop air, under vacuum, and once the refrigerent was replenished. I couln't be happier

Pin used to hold it together bent after second compression.
