I have basically finished the book, just finishing up the conclusion, which should be done within the next couple of hours. Dr. Ben-Jochannan packaged a LOT of factual information that I feel is VITAL to re-awakening of the people of African decent consciously and spiritually, thus reconnecting us not only the continent of Alkebulan, but it's people the world over. It is my personal belief that, Self knowledge is the basis of True knowledge, or put another way, Know Thy Self! And with that, learn to Trust and Respect Thy Self! This book has a lot of pictures and illustrations through out. The quality of these illustrations vary from poor to excellent quality, but the information that you need is definitely there and this to me is the most important aspect of the book. I would not recommend this book to someone just beginning to discover Knowledge of Self. However, after some time of becoming enlighten, I would VERY MUCH suggest that you add this add this book to your library. This will allow for you to INNERSTAND this book, vesus understanding this book. I suggest that when you read this book, READ THE ENTIRE BOOK, minus the Select Bibliography section. Only bother with this section when looking for possibly other books of interest. This book is definitely a MUST read if you are on a path of self discovery. This IS NOT a Black History book, rather it is a book about the History of Alkebulan and it's People and ALL of their descendents the world over. Enslavement of the African wasn't JUST restricted or confined to the United States of America. But I do believe that the African in the Americas can begin the Re-awakening of ALL the PEOPLE of Alkebulan the world over. But WE must first be awakened from a DEEP sleep, for it is but a dream, this reality WE live in. As a child I had HUNDREDS of questions about his-story, religion (also his-story) and self that the adults in my community, inclusive of adults I interacted with in both the public and religious school centers, SIMPLY COULD OR WOULD NOT answer. And now that I can factually answer those questions for self, those same adults from my childhood and their children, WILL NOT even attempt hold any sort religious or history conversation with me. In fact, we can talk about anything BUT those two areas. Every now and again, I may get a question about Christopher Columbus or Abraham Lincoln, but that's it! And I get it. I have a major in psychology and a minor in sociology. I get it! If you've made it this far, it's probably okay to get the book. LOL! At any rate, I suggest it! Review: Perfect condition - I had a bit of trouble. This package got missing and the seller and I had some disagreements about that. They tried but we're unable to resolve the issue. It turned out it was a mishap on my shipping company side and was not the sellers fault. However they could have offered more assistance in resolving the issue and would have led to me receiving the package earlier. But I will still give them 5 stars because the product is exceptional and was worth the wait.

Perfect condition

Very Informative!
This was a very detailed classic piece of literature. I could not simply put this book down at all. Dr. Yosef Ben Jochannan is truly one of the best to ever speak about Africa(Alkebulan)ancient history connected to the men of darn skin misnomered black man,negro or whatever colonized name they give us these days. Learning about Ta-Merry and Ta-Nehesi and various other places and and dark skinned people contributions to them with 100% facts to back up all accounts is priceless. And also this book leads you to do research on your on and also lead you to other great books. Hands down this book put to the rest the garbage they teach in schools about how the people looked in ancient Egypt(Ta-Merry)from Pharoahs all the way to the Priest to the common people.We were Kings and Queens and still are to this day.

I was surprised when I got the book. I didn't know it was thick. I thought it would be another then book, but it wasn't. I just read the first few pages and was going to keep going when I remember I was finishing another book. :) it is full of information
