Will more liquid take more time to boil?

Yes, the volume of liquid and its temperature can affect the time it takes for the Uccello Kettle to boil. On average, the boil time is less than 5 minutes.

Our Uccello Kettle was designed in Perth, Western Australia. We source our electrical components from Britain, we source our plastics from Germany and then we assemble it in China. Quite a few places are involved in making our Uccello Kettle as great as it is.

Does it whistle when water is hot?

No, it doesn’t whistle but the lighted button clicks off pretty loudly and the orange lighted button tuns off. It only takes little less than 3 min for the water to boil. I love this teapot! I got it for my 91 yr old mother to use for tea water. She had Alzheimers and wasn’t safe for her to use my gas stove. Unfortunately, because it was new and her short term memory was pretty much non-existent she was only able use it a couple of times with my instruction. She did really like it though. I have used it from then on for her tea and mine rather than the stove. I really do recommend it :-) I’ll buy another if anything ever happens to mine.

Does the kettle turn off automatically once it's finished boiling?

It sure does, once your kettle has boiled it will automatically turn itself off.

Excellent Kettle for people with weak wrists.

This kettle is absolutely brilliant, I have Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis, and fractured my wrist last year. This makes, making a cup of tea so much easier. I don’t have to lift the kettle at all, just tip and pour. It’s easy to fill up as well. This is a must for anyone with weak wrists or hands.

Bought for my mother for safety

Being 5 foot 1 or 2 watching her lift a full kettle of boiling water didn't feel right it looked like a potential accident and when I was shopping for something else this popped up on the page and I clicked on it out of curiosity and after reading about it and checking the reviews I thought of her lifting the kettle and ordered it for her now she is definitely delighted with it and has no complaints so far anyway and trust me if there is a fault of any type she will spot it straight away but so far she said mainly not having to lift the kettle any more made a bigger difference that we thought so now so far all around happy the build quality seems good and it is just an all round good package and peace of mind to by eliminating one of the biggest risks in the kitchen so would definitely recommend to anyone who has any problems if it comes to a kettle so like I said overall so far in all ways no complaints about any part of it if any faults arise I will update this
