I bought a brand new Ikea bed when I moved, as well as a new mattress (from mattress firm). Immediately after getting the mattress on the bed frame (was fine on the floor) I started to notice that I was having a lot of fitful sleep & back pain. The Ikea slats are two lines of slats that are bowed upwards, creating a divot in the middle of the frame, which according to reddit has ruined people's mattresses over time. I went back to get their more expensive slats & immediately put it back in the box to return when I saw the slats were ALSO BOWED!I turned to Amazon and their trusty reviews to find this metal box spring replacement & it did not disappoint! It was SO EASY to put together. The only issue, which was listed in prev reviews, is that it slides a bit in the bed (longwise from head to toe of frame). BUT, a trusty reviewer stated that they just used some of the packing material foam bricks to shove in the space at the foot of the bed to keep it still & honesty, it was a perfect fit! I would highly suggest to get this frame & just use the packaging to fill in the little inch or so space to keep it from moving. My back is already happier & this was cheaper than the expensive Ikea slats that still don't work.If you're waiting for a sign to fix your crappy Ikea slats without having to get rid of the pretty frame, GET THIS!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:We bought a new mattress and bed frame in January, and while the mattress was great, the frame just never felt sturdy enough. We looked for some additional support, and read a ton of reviews before deciding on this product. It was so easy to assemble (plus it came with great tools to help) and we slept on it for the first time last night. I immediately noticed a difference. The bed feels sturdier, and doesn’t rattle when either of us moves. It was a GREAT solution. We did use some zip ties just to be sure that it doesn’t slide around, but no one looking at the bed would notice, as those are hidden under the mattress.

Frequebtly, i had a hard time when i assemble the item. Not this time. The instruction is very clear and each part are indicated with numbers, When I assemble the part, there is no issue at all. Also the parts fit to each other very well. I should give SIX STARS for the quality and easy assembly instruction.the tooll which was provide is very easy to use.I wish that the product over all size were a half inch smaller, it will fix better.

Small for king

Just what I needed. Easy assembly--even includes a small ratchet wrench! Excellent size & fit for Queen size bed frame. Plastic fittings to eliminate squeaking is very nice feature. The double-faced tape along the top some slats is a nice thought to reduce skidding, but probably not very effective--it would only be sticking to the cloth-underside of the mattress or platform above, which is fairly loose material. Instructions identified parts as A, B,...etc., but the parts were numbered with stickers 1, 2, ... etc. Not a big issue, but should be made consistent. Recommended, and would buy again.

Easy to set up, worked perfectly in lieu of boxspring for a low bed

I think I’ve written maybe 5 reviews in all my years of excessive shopping but I got compelled with this due to the cost of lost time and energy.Ahead of buying this item, I read many of the reviews on this product and felt confident in its quality. In all fairness, had this arrived in its entirety, it would be perfect. I feel strongly this it is a high quality product. But, that’s where it ends.So, quality: CHECKIn my naivety, I didn’t think I’d be one of the handful that had packing issues disclosed in the reviews.Packing quality: FAILThe materials are long and heavy rods. The box was a basic cardboard box without any additional support at the ends to prevent the rods from protruding through. There was no special taping or binding at the ends for the above or to prevent the ends from opening up. Just basic tape and maybe some glue although I didn’t see any glue residue.I tried to get support on Amazon’s page but they directed me to the Seller’s website. The seller’s website asks for proof of purchase and an explanation of what the support needs are (missing part, technical support, warranty, shipping etc). This is where things get annoying.I uploaded photos of the box that was open at delivery. I had no hardware, instructions, or contents list to know what other parts are missing (rods etc). I also uploaded a photo to show proof of purchase.I then get an email confirmation of my support request that asks me for all the same stuff again.So, I upload more images and re-write my requests. Then about 10 minutes later, I get another email asking me for the same stuff. It was like their AI based email customer support was stuck on repeat.Now each day I’m getting emails that state that they are closing my support ticket unless I provide the requested documents. Annoying!So…to make things more obnoxious, I get fed up with this process and decide to return the items (approx (30) rods at over 6’ long- king size bed) back to Amazon. I then had to find a way to wrap them up and box them (box was damaged) and haul them to the UPS store.I feel like they owe me money for the hours wasted trying to correct their avoidable packing issues and then taking the time to package it back up and return the oversized shipment. I can only guess that the shipping costs each way, far exceed their actual product cost.Not sure how this can help anyone other than suggest that if you receive an open or damaged box or missing parts- DO NOT bother trying to remedy it with their support. Just turn around and return it or ask Amazon to eat the loss and not make you re-box and haul it to a shipping store.
