Just as good as the more expensive gel packs! I "tested" these out fully, for a few months straight, due to severe chronic pain. I chose them due to the size & price. They were enclosed inside a cardstock weight store hang rack style box (like you'd find at Walgreens & such). So, while stuck in bed, I fully read the box, glad I did. The info on the box stated this is a small company started by a woman wanting to offer affordable quality gel packs, & her company also donates a portion of sales to a local Native American tribe (the box got thrown away before I could write this, so my apologies this review is short on details). I'd be more than happy to purchase from this company again, not only for the price & quality, but also for the info about the company background. As a woman with some Native American heritage & my own small business, I'm happy to know I helped support this company! : ) The gel packs themselves are truly just as good as the costlier brands. They are a thick, flexible, sturdy plastic/vinyl (?), generously filled with a clear gel, which cools in the freezer quickly, & stays cool just as long as the other brands. The only difference, besides the price, I can really find, would be the color; the gel is clear, instead of blue. This makes no difference, especially since I just slip each of my gel packs into socks (like pillow cases), so they have instant covers, keeping them from having direct contact with skin. When I need more, in other sizes, I will be sure to come back to this brand! Thanks for the awesome gel packs, the price, & the great company background!

I really like these gel packs. I've used them both for keeping my girls lunch cool in the AZ heat, as well as cold packs for injuries for my girls. They are ice cold, they've held up well over the years and were very inexpensive. They're durable and have lasted. 5 stars.

Thaws out quickly but is the longest ice pack I can find. Bought 3 to change out for my needs.

We had ordered a set of these gel packs yrs ago following knee surgery & remembered them working great! So, when I recently was scheduled for a hip replacement, I was so thankful to be able to find this company again & order several more sets. I am 3 weeks out from my surgery & I am still rotating these iced gel packs in & out of the freezer every hour. Wow, do they help! They are durable for sure, but yet, they are so flexible & moldable to the area, unlike hard frozen packs we had tried in the past. They hold the cold & bring relief a really long time as well. They chill really quickly in the freezer too, a definite plus ~ I HIGHLY recommend these packs & this amazing family operated company! So thankful to have found this product, what a game changer in my healing, pain relieving process.

I ordered two of these in advance of my knee replacement surgery and liked them so much that I ordered two more! The machine they sent home with me, that attaches to my knee, is ok but I don't like being "tied down" to it and having to unwrap and unplug every time I get up to go to the bathroom or anywhere else, then having to rewrap and replug again. These packs are just the right length, width and thickness to either wrap around my knee or lie along my calf or shin, and they are the right size for lower back pain as well. They freeze quickly so that by the time I need a fresh one, the spare is ready to use--I ordered two extra because sometimes I use two at a time. I did set my freezer temp to 0 degrees and I lay the bags out flat in the freezer on top of other items that are already frozen in order to get them to refreeze so quickly. They are durable and so comfortable to use--just what I needed to help me through the pain of the recovery period following the surgery. I've been able to keep up with the therapy because these help to reduce the aches. Highly recommend!

These were the least expensive set of hot/cold gel pads that would work for my eyes (3"x5"). I figured it was so basic it wouldn't make a difference. I'm sure these are something mass produced overseas. The paper instructions said to heat for 30 seconds, and then add more in increments. The package said heat for 5 seconds, and then in increments. The temperature zone of 50-60 seconds in the microwave for my moist compresses after surgery was totalling working for me. Then, on about the third day they exploded in the microwave. Really messy to clean up. 3 Stars because it helped me alot for 3 days.

Does its job, it cools down great, it almost freezes (so you see some change of phase which makes it last long at low temperature) but stays slushy enough that you can bend it, so it is great to wrap around my elbow or knees after I play tennis. The bag looks cheap, but it is solid enough and who cares since I always put them inside a bag before putting it on (you don't want to get an ice burn). So very happy that I bought it. I have not used it with heat yet, just be careful when you heat up, I've blown others after leaving it too long in the microwave. It feels like when you heat up, it's always very slow in the beginning but then at the end it heats up faster and if you don't watch it you will melt the plastic cover and the gel will leak. So always heat up by 30 seconds increment.

I bought a few of these bc I was told to apply ice packs to my nose area after I had sinus surgery. I also have frequent migraines so they are perfect for the forehead and behind my neck. These were cold, bendable, reusable after a few hours and quality made. Perfect for the face or any part of the body where ice needs to be applied. They stay cold for HOURS! I’ve also used it in a lunch box when we go to the pool. Multiple purposes! Love it!!! A+ **Update** I have had these for over 2 years and use them nightly and they are still in great shape. They freeze but aren’t hard and are pliable so they can conform to parts of your body. I just bought another set so I can take a pair of vacation with me. BUY THEM, they are amazing!!!
