No complaints. My experience with these job-specific tools (crank arm / bottom bracket) was about 30 years ago, probably with expensive Park brand - at the local / now closed bike shop. I needed this for my old 1996 GT LTS-3 that I'm refreshing. It's pretty inexpensive, and works just fine for pulling the crank arms and Shimano sealed bottom bracket unit. About the only other tool you would need is a 1/2 inch drive long breaker bar for the bottom bracket removal, but mine was pretty stuck though. Pretty decent combo tool, for the price.

This tool worked out great. Included everything necessary for me to remove my crank as well as the inner crank sleeve. It includes the crank arm puller as well, which made things so much easier. When your building a customers/custom E-Bike, everything needs to be organized and clean. Having a bunch of extra tools, ratchets, sockets, extensions, etc., is much more complicated and disorienting than a 3 in 1 tool. Could be a bit thicker, I guess. Overall, the value for your money is great. This tool continues to produce ROI each time you need to lay your eyes on a crank or crank arm. Don't laugh at the Styrofoam :)!! Its a work in progress. I am still working out the measurements of a decent 3D printed, quick release battery case. Returning to the product review! All I can say is that it served its purpose, and quickly got me out of a bind when a pedal assist request came up. I would purchase this item again, and I would most definitely recommend this item to a friend or relative.

Great price. While the chrome kinda gives them a "cheap" look they feel rather solid. The crank remover tool worked just fine with no issue, screwed into the crank without a problem or hard to the crank. The BB removal tool is heavy and feels like good steel. Worked just fine taking the BB out of my fixie and putting the new one in! Did not damage the spindle or threads for the spindle bolts. These tools worked for what I needed and saved me alot of money. Even the little wrench feels solid, not flimsy or weak at all!

I needed to replace a stripped-out crankset on a kind of rusty single-speed bike. The only bike shop close to my place was a fancy one, and they wanted $80 for labor. I took my chances and ordered this little tool. This was my first time doing this specific repair, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The extractor worked flawlessly. Not gonna lie, it took some time and good effort to get the thing twisting, but it slowly got easier, and in the end I was able to remove the old crankset and install the new one. I'd recommend putting a little grease on the threads (after cleaning off any dirt) and being careful not to cross-thread the crank and the extractor. Just take your time and you should be good. Would recommend, there are plenty of YouTube tutorials on how to do the job. You'll spend only 1/5 of what the shop would charge, and you get to keep the extractor for next time!

This is not the highest-quality tool that you would find in a bike shop, but for what it is -- and for $10!! -- it is great! It's hard to find instructions and a little tough to figure out. The orange handle goes with the two pieces (thread them together), and if you move the handle from one side to the other, it is essentially two tools in one. One side is a socket wrench that removes the hex nut that is usually underneath the dust cap, and then the orange handle slides over to the other side of the tool to become the crank puller. (If you've never done this - find a video online!) The third piece with the teeth does NOT go with the orange handle, but rather requires a wrench to use. It is used to remove the ring with all the grooves. One downside of this tool is that the handle is very short, and since you REALLY have to wrench on it to remove the crank, it is hard to get enough leverage. But overall, for $10, this totally does the trick. You might spend $50 to buy each tool separately.

Received it today and promptly used it to remove two crank arms. Didn't use the wrench, used an adjustable wrench instead. Was a little concerned it might pull out of the threads, but it was a needless worry. Very happy with it. Used the bottom bracket socket yesterday on a very difficult to remove unit. Cleaned the engagement area very thoroughly on the bike. Sprayed it with a solvent to try and make it a little easier. Added a bolt through the socket to secure it from moving off the bracket. Was quite a chore to loosen. Eventually had an 8” pipe wrench and a 4’ cheater bar and the non drive side finally came loose. Drive side was much easier. Socket worked wonderfully. Hard to believe it didn’t fail under that much torque. Turned out to be a great deal. Highly recommend the set, but I also suggest researching some videos on how to make the task easier.

I used the puller to remove the sprocket side crank on a Giant ATX bike. The bottom bracket insert had loosened up and needed retightening. I was a Shop Foreman at a German auto dealership for 30 years. I have seen $300 German pullers destroyed. All pulling tools like this have to be greased prior to use. As mentioned in other reviews this is not a professional quality tool. The bolt does not appear to be hardened. It became very difficult to turn with the supplied wrench and I STOPPED. I placed a ball bearing, approximately 11 mm in diameter, between the spindle and the puller bolt. This drastically reduced the force required to turn the bolt using the supplied wrench and the crank arm came off easily. There was no visible damage to the threads . The bottom bracket tool worked perfectly. Make sure all grit and grime is removed from the flange splines. I'm sure a bike shop would have charged more than twice what the tools cost, so it was worth it to me. With the addition of the ball bearing I'm confident this puller will last for years.

My grandson needed this tool and it really just turned out to be not very strong at all I mean for $20 I think you should be able to have it last a little bit longer than it did I do not have pictures I didn't even do the return because I was annoyed by it but they would have accepted the return they said they would have I just felt that we didn't really care for it and it didn't work well for us so that's all I have to say he could have been a little rough with it so I hate to even give it you know a little over a review that I did because my grandson is like 17 years old so he might have manhandled it a little bit when he was using it. I didn't return it I do need to give him a new tool though he's a good grandson

Arrived on time. Quality materials. Did the job seamlessly. I would suggest applying some grease on the crank puller treads for a smoother operation. Also, you would probably need a spanner since the one comes with the kit is not long enough to give enough leverage.

Outils achetés pour remplacer le boîtier de pédalier de mon VTT, et enfin j'ai pû le démonter. Par contre prévoir un levier suffisant afin d'avoir la force de dévisser le boîtier et sortir les manivelles. Clé Allen de 14 ou clé plate de grande taille fortement préconisés... La qualité globale est satisfaisante, tout se visse bien, j'ai pû procéder au remplacement de mon boîtier pour la toute première fois et il en avait besoin. Rien de mieux que le DIY. Démontage ET reassemblage sans soucis.
