New Adventures: My New School

This book was very helpful with our five year old granddaughter changing school.

With a possible house move on the cards and our youngest starting primary this year I wanted a book that would help us discuss any fears without making a big deal! This book is lovely, it explains it’s OK to be shy or embarrassed at first but shows that very quickly friends can be made and change isn’t necessarily bad. My 4 year old loves it, it’s certainly reassured her and we read still read it together often.

Not about starting a break school from nursery or preschool but rather starting a new school from translation from a Previous school.

We bought this for my grandson who had to change to a new school in a new town in the middle of Year 1. He was very happy at his old school and didn't want to change. He and his dad read it nearly every night before he started and he is still reading it now he has settled in. I am sure it helped him face his fears and have the courage to move on.
