This pedal Kills
Ok so let me just start by saying , I am a musician who plays on my own original band that has sold over 500,000 albums. I have had many pedal setups and boards. I mostly play nylon and steel string acoustic and some electric . Started doing some small local bar gigs for extra cash and use a loop pedal (boomerang) i will loop guitar beats , taps , w swells and anything that sounds like a full band . The Boss OC2 was in my opinion the best pedal to give me the "bass guitar " for my loops. I ordered this to put on a small fly board. THIS SOUNDS LIKE THE OC2! I made the mustake of buying the mxr vintage octave, that thing sounds terrible... so I thought , 37 bucks lets give it a shot ! SO WORTH IT! its not a cool hip square wave or insane sub synth octave. But for plain analog octave , it is round and warm . Try it . Again this is to play bass lines on my steel string so keep that in mind.

As advertised! Great price point!
True bypass and true value! Is as advertised! Ridiculously good deal!

Not bad for the money
Nice warm mellow tone, can't play chords though, sounds weird, the notes clash. the same with intervals, primarily for monotone lines. great for electric bass, but still very good for guitar solo lines. Sounds almost like a hammond B3

Fun sound, doesn’t track notes that well
Sometimes kicks in and out like it can’t figure out what note to octave. When it works it’s a cool retro sound. I use it, don’t hate it, just kind of is what it is.

Hits above its price point.
Great so far. Hits above its price point.

Construction of velcro backing is awful; quit working in the octave mode after only a few uses
I purchased an octaver pedal and I really like the sound of it. It's fun to play with while I play my bass. The problem with this pedal is in the design of the velcro backing. You can stick it on your pedal board once or twice and remove it. But after you remove the pedal from the pedal board, the velcro backing on the pedal actually comes off of the pedal. Which would be fine if you could put new velcro on, but the bottom of the pedal that remains is rubber and it does not stick to ANYTHING. So when my pedal got moved around on my pedal board a couple of times and the velcro came off the back of it, I went through a very large amount of new velcro trying to stick it on, and didn't ever succeed. I ordered a replacement from Amazon and will send the other one back. But this is a very poor design because pedal users often take their pedals off and move them around and if that's not possible, then the pedal is kind of useless.Update to my review, having only used the pedal a few times because I just now started playing with my pedal board, and the pedal does not work. No matter how I play with the controls when the pedal is turned on, the transmission to the amplifiers completely stopped. It works great in the bypass mode, but when it's actually turned on, the amplifier makes no sound.

Inconsistent octaver.
I had high hopes for this octave pedal based on the reviews. It sounded ok with some notes, but wouldn't stay consistent. I used it on my bass guitar, and when letting a note ring out, the pedal can't discern the tone properly and would hard cut the octave sound in and out. Unusable for music and terribly distracting. Maybe I got a dud, but I will look elsewhere.

WOW. Thinking About an Octave Pedal? Stop Thinking.
I generally don't like octave pedals since I like a clear bright sound on my bass. But so many songs have that sub octave these days that you need one. And this baby fills the bill. It's as good as any other Octave pedal and perhaps with better tracking. It's simple without many tone options but I actually prefer that. I want need to be fiddling. When I want that lower part, STOMP and GO. 40 bucks? You can't afford NOT to get it.

Great Octaver
Does what it is supposed to do! It adds one or two lower octaves. Works with bass or guitar. Almost no latency (what is the main reason for me to use an analog octaver) compared to the TC electronic nether octaver, the synthetic quality of the lower octaves is a bit more obvious, but other than that, it's a great sounding octaver! Weigths and costs almost nothing, smallest Formfaktor I've seen so far, when it comes to octavers.

SONICAKE QSS-19 Octave Guitar Pedal: Fantastic pedal
Metal Build. Feels sturdy.Nice bass sound. Keep oct1 at full, direct at 37% (10-11 o clock position), oct2 at 37% (10-11 o clock position), if using fingers to pick (like in a bass guitar). If instead you want to use a pick, then move the direct dial to 25% (9 o clock position).Use both bridge and neck (or Neck and middle) pickups on your guitar, keep the tone knob at 20-30%And it will sound awesome.PS: It may not replace an actual bass, but it sounds punchy enough that you can use it in a band (I haven't yet used it in a band, just tried solo)Do no roll the direct knob all the way to 0, or tone to zero, it will lose all the overtones and will sound like a dead bass guitar. Above settings worked for me, you can start with those and play around to see what works for you.

Excelente octavador...
