After some investigation I did verify that these eclipse glasses are ISO certified, and are the product made by American Paper Optics (one of the brands approved by NASA).

I volunteer in a 3rd grade classroom and I realized that school would be in session during the eclipse. I bought 36 eclipse glasses well before the eclipse. We needed 21 for the class and I gave the others to friends. The students had to have signed permission slips to go outside to view the eclipse and all but 1 brought theirs back. We saw a partial eclipse here in south Texas, but that was thrilling enough. After we came back into the classroom, we watched the full eclipse being live streamed. Your glasses were perfect for us. They were affordable, so I had no hesitation in buying a class set. There was news that some of the glasses being sold weren't certified, but I checked and yours were. After the event, the children stapled their glasses into their science journals. They could have saved them for the 2024 eclipse, but I wouldn't have trusted the integrity of the glasses by then, kids being kids.

Good price and I will be sharing with family members. I left off a star because I won't know how well they work until the actual eclipse and I can update then. I was worried they would be cheaply made and not sturdy enough but they are fine and should fit most people. You won't be wearing them long so why buy the plastic ones that will live forever in a landfill?

There is printed assurance on the glasses. I showed them to my eye Dr. who looked through them inside and saw total blackout. With a chuckle, he said they seem good because they are so dark. He also said that one should only glance at the sun, if you were not using the special glasses. Outside, you can only see the sun in a hazy ball through them. I think they are good to go. My nephew has some from NASA, we will compare before depending on them but I have no concerns.

A well made product that held up well watching the latest eclipse. They are lightweight, but sturdy enough stay in place on your face. The good part is I am not blind or had the sun's image burned into my retina. I would by them again.
