INCORRECT Amazon Description!
This is a great movie! But it's subject was completely unexpected for me because the attached description reads "a group of soldiers fight an alien invasion"!! What the heck?!

Really liked this movie. So much so, that I got the book. Great acting!

Moving film about an attempt to damage Nazism! Highly recommend!
I thought the movie was outstanding. The intrigue and the desire of parents who had lost a son to the war to aid in the destruction of Nazism was so moving. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who has the slightest interest in WWII.

There are always exceptions t the rule, even in Nazi Germany
A much needed story of how not everyone in Germany was ready to follow Hitler, even at the ultimate price of their own lives. And how it affected some of the police as well, whose heart was not in the terror.

There were germans who were against Htler and paid with their lives.
Interesting movie on a theme we rarely come across. The quality of the film is weak, the sound is very weak, but it is worth while for its content.

Description is false No alien invasion
The description says A group of soldiers fight off an alien invasion. There is no aliens invading. It is a slow dull movie about Berlin in ww2

Good movie -- excellent cast.

A Superb Film
An excellent film, very well acted and produced. Based on a true life couple Otto and Else Hempel who left anti-Fascist cards about Berlin during the years 1940 to 1943. The novelist Hans Fallada wrote an excellent post-war book with the same title based on these characters. I have never seen Emma Thompson in better form. Thoroughly recommended.

Very good film
Brought DVD as a gift for my father who knows a lot about historical events especially WW2, he thoroughly enjoyed the movie, even he was surprised by the ending.
