I bought this to help with night time hot flushes, I think it helps me feel more comfortable. Whilst being warm enough for winter, it's also very light and easy to move on and off the body as needed. I like the fact it's natural materials and British wool, I haven't detected any wool odour (and I'm quite sensitive to smell). I would recommend a wool duvet to anyone - menopausal or not!

This is by far the best duvet I’ve ever used. It feels like an old fashioned duvet, reassuringly comfortable. It is quite thin but it is dense so it feels very different to the synthetic duvets most of us are used to and is heavier than down duvets (plus you don’t get feathers poking you in the night). The temperature regulating qualities are outstanding. I run hot at the best of times and now I’m of a certain age, my old duvet just used to make me sweat but now I am perfectly cool without being cold. I am getting the best sleep I’ve ever had.The only slight point of note worth mentioning is the smell, there is a distinct odour of sheep and it takes a while for it to go. Personally I don’t mind it, and my border collie pup who came from a sheep farm is in his element, but if you don’t like the sweet scent of rural life, just be warned.But smell aside, this is a fantastic product and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a great nights sleep.

The only duvet company where the "Double" sized never fits into my double sized covers. Every other double duvet, of varying weight and thickness fit perfectly. Truly a mystery.

I really like my wool duvet (medium) looking at it, it didn't seem thick but looks have been deceptive. Warm and snug. Maybe I should have got the lighter one.

Other reviewers have mentioned that this item smells and yes, it does, a little, but then it is a 100% natural product and not manmade. I just aired it for 24 hours before use and now there is no discernible smell.I was having problems over heating during the night. Not really night sweats just getting too hot and uncomfortable, my duvet was thick and heavy and I often felt almost trapped under its weight.But this duvet has solved all my problems; it's very lightweight and freeing. It's been very hot and humid recently but I have stayed cool and comfortable under this duvet and altho I haven't used it through a winter and although it is quite thin (which I love) there have been a few quite chilly nights that this duvet coped with VERY well and kept me comfortably warm. I live in a heated, well-built house, not in a shack near the North pole so it's never really that cold inside at night and I don't like being too hot at night even in mid winter and I think this duvet will be perfect.I haven't rated it very high for 'Softness' simply because it's not a big, thick, fluffy down duvet, if that's what you want give this a miss but if you want to stay cool in summer and warm (not hot) in winter then this, or maybe the thick or full version might be the thing for you but for me the medium is just perfect.
