1,000% Worth The Time & Money!!!!
I went to Lowes and purchased "Valspar Ultra Interior Paint & Primer" - Semi-Gloss Paint. The Paint Color Sample was 'Sherwin Williams' and Lowes has these within their paint color selections. I chose "ARGOS HGSW7065" as my paint color. It is for a little girl's room and I didn't want to go too dark in the gray family, and even with two coats of paint, it is the perfect shade of gray. I read multiple reviews before hand and really appreciated all the tips. I think the key is to purchase a paint mixing tool to attach to your electric drill. I placed the gallon of paint inside a five gallon bucket in order to avoid spills or a mess. I put '1' coat of paint on the walls WITHOUT the glitter additive, and let it dry thoroughly. Next, I used '1' gallon of paint, and slowly mixed in '2' bags of silver glitter. I then proceeded to fill my paint roller pan and would use up that batch, then use the drill to mix up the paint inside the gallon bucket thoroughly, and then poor up the next batch of paint and so on. This way, my paint didn't thicken up or dry up. As I was painting, I did see some glitter begin to shine through, but when it was thoroughly dry, I actually saw a ton of glitter, so much that I contemplated NOT buffing the walls. BUT, I am glad that we did, because slightly buffing the walls, the glitter immediately came to life. (Buffing the walls does not knock off glitter, it simply removes the paint that is covering the glitter, but does not remove paint from the walls). One of the helpful tips was to purchase a ScotchBrite pad. I purchased some ScotchBrite refill pads and only used one. The buffing process took about 45 minutes and actually was very easy. It sounds overwhelming, but it was honestly surprisingly easy. I was very hesitant to attempt this project, but am very happy that I did so and although it sounds difficult, it really was almost as easy as it is to simply paint a regular wall. The glitter is a fine consistency and although I used '2' bags to my '1' gallon of paint, it is not overwhelming or too much whatsoever. I tried to take video and pictures of the room at nighttime, and they did not do justice whatsoever. However, the videos in previous reviews are a great example of the results. I would 1,000% recommend this product and project to friends and family and I would hands down do this again in the future. I am glad that I read multiple reviews and did not give in to thinking that this would be too difficult of a project. Update: See the attached video, but this absolutely does NOT do it justice. I LOVE it! UPDATE: September 2024 Back at it again 8 Months later! I’m still in LOVE!!! I painted a second room using the same paint and the same silver glitter and this time I added 2 1/2 packs of silver glitter to 1 gallon of paint and did it exactly the same technique as I did in January. When I finished, the glitter was coming through so well that I actually contemplated not even buffing the walls. I will continue to recommend this product and I plan on doing a third room in the next month. It truly ROCKS!!!! Even though I tried to take pictures and take videos during the day or night, it just truly does not do justice to how awesome it shows up! I had to take down the original video to add an updated one so I hope this is helpful bc Amazon allows one video only.

Easier to use than it looks! Looks great!
I'm pleased with the purchase. Only complaint was that I had to order a pair of 3.5 oz bags, instead of 1 single bag of the iridescent glitter. And I only needed the one bag for the 3rd of a gallon of paint that I had left over after I put the 2 coats of just the pink on the walls. So that wasn't very cost effective. Otherwise it was pretty easy to do. You do 2 coats of just the paint you want to use. Then the 3rd and final coat is the one where you add the glitter in. It says to add the 3.5oz bag to 0.2 gallons but I had about a 3rd left of my gallon and just added the glitter to it. You wait until it dries fully and then you use an abrasive sponge and buff it until the glitter really pops. Super easy! I think it looks so cute and my 3 year old absolutely loves it. Excited to see it in the daylight tomorrow!

Leaves lines
I will change my review if we can figure out how to get the glitter evenly distributed but it leaves alot of lines. We have tried 2 coats, have used 2 different rollers and have tried buffing. None were of any luck. The glitter doesn't really show up but we got it. We ended having to do 4 coats total probably would have only needed 1 or 2 if we could have figured it out but what we did to fix the issue is mix tiny amounts at a time and I mean tiny and mix 3 min minimum with the mixing attachment to the drill and sprinkled the glitter in slowly while mixing and really just eyeballs the amount til it was to our desire but used way less than what we had been using previously then used a thinner padding roller (idk what it is called) and also did thin coats applying every direction possible to really work it in and it came out flawless and even everywhere. Now that we have it down it is easy. I researched on here and google and the actual hemway website for I can not tell you how many hours and I used every tip possible that I read. Was a pain initially though.

The perfect touch!
Wow! I did not expect this glitter to add this much to the paint & the room. I bought 4 packs! We painted a wall in our gym and our movie theater black but I didn’t want a flat black wall. We added these glitters to the paint and wow, like really wow. It’s not tacky like I was worried. The sparkles catch the light and add so much to the black paint. I couldn’t be happier with how my walls turned out.

Only OK. Purchased this based on all the great ratings, but unfortunately I have to agree with the negative reviews. The glitter really does get lost in the paint. Forget what you think about putting one bag of this in a gallon of paint. You will never see it. And if you want to cover a significant amount of space, like an entire wall? You're going to need more bags than you ever thought you would...and at $25 per bag, you're now looking at a very costly project. I wound up using HALF the bag for a paper plates amount of paint. I wanted to cover just ONE shelf. Unless you're at a certain angle, it's not overly noticable, and if you're not paying attention, it'll just be missed entirely. Mixing the glitter in the paint turned the paint almost dough'ish in consistency. Just keep stiring with the brush until it smooths down and mixes through. Significant sparkles do turn the paint thick though, so make sure to spread it fast. I don't see how one would use a roller with this stuff, it comes out streaky, as you can see in the pictures, the bare sections. I had to go over spots a few times to get a semi even distribution of sparkles. Kinda let down as I wanted a real sparkly pop accent shelf. I got champagne color for reference and mixed it in a matte Benjamin Moore gray paint. **ok so, I slept on it and checked how it looked this morning. It doesn't look bad, I actually really love it now. Just be aware that this paint takes a little finagling to spread smoothly, and you'll wind up needing a lot for the effect, but don't give up!

Very pretty, better than most others visually
Very good product. Dip roller with each application, stirring the glitter every few minutes is not enough. The buffer is useless...beautiful look if you can get it evenly covered on the roller.

Pricey but pretty
This is pricier than others and I haven’t tried them, but I can say that this has left the desired effect after painting a dresser with dark blue - I am looking forward to buffing it for its full effect. Three stars because of quantity v price

Super
