I learned calligraphy earlier before my fifth grade so this book brings back memories of the original Speedball textbook my uncle used to train me with. An excellent Speedball textbook in updated version but with the necessary lettering styles (font) like before. It's a shame that the speedball pen line seemed to be losing its essence with today's computerized print outs.

This book is comprehensive for intermediate or advanced level calligraphers. Beginners pls don’t buy.

Excellent calligraphy book for beginners. I started my calligraphic journey with this book 45 years ago. If you are starting ,this is the book to begin with.
